Okay, so today I decided to dive headfirst into “Wuthering Waves” and really push for that “Blazing Brilliance.” I’d messed around with the game a bit before, but this time I wanted to seriously get into it. Here’s how it all went down.

Getting Started (Again)
First, I fired up the game. I already had a character, but I felt like starting fresh to really document the process. So, I created a new Rover. I spent a good while customizing their appearance – had to get the look just right, you know? It’s all part of the immersion!
Diving into the Story
Next up, I started playing through the main storyline. I’d skipped through some of the dialogue before, but this time I paid close attention. I wanted to get a good feel for the world and the characters, which I think helped me connect with the game more.
Combat Practice
The combat in “Wuthering Waves” is where the real fun is. I spent a LOT of time practicing my dodges and parries. Timing is everything! I messed up. A LOT. But slowly, I started getting the hang of it. I found that the tutorial pop-ups were surprisingly helpful, even though I usually just mash buttons.
- Started with basic attacks.
- Then moved on to dodging.
- Finally, got to parrying (the hardest part!).
Echo Hunting
Echoes are super important for boosting your stats, so I went on a bit of an Echo hunt. I explored different areas, fought different monsters, and tried to collect as many different Echoes as I could. This part was a bit of a grind, but I put on some music and just went at it. It was very awarding when I get a higher rarity of echos, they look so cool.
Trying Out Different Characters
Even though I’d started a new Rover, I also wanted to experiment with some of the other characters I’d unlocked. I switched between them during some quests and battles to get a feel for their different playstyles. Some were definitely easier to use than others! It’s cool how different they all feel.

Wrapping Up
By the end of my session, I felt like I’d made some real progress. My combat skills were definitely better, and I had a much better understanding of the game’s mechanics. Plus, I’d collected a bunch of cool Echoes and gotten further in the story. I even managed to beat a boss that had given me trouble before! That felt amazing. I’m not saying I’m a pro now, but I definitely feel more confident going forward. It’s all about practice, practice, practice!
