Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this here “Marvel Rivals” game. Folks been askin’ me, “Will it be on that Switch thingy?” You know, that little game machine the kids are always playin’ with?
Listen up, ’cause I got the lowdown. From what I hear, this “Marvel Rivals” ain’t gonna be on no Switch. Nope, not at all. Them game makers, they say it’s too fancy for that little box. Somethin’ about it bein’ built on somethin’ called “Unreal Engine 5,” whatever that means. Sounds highfalutin to me.
They say this game needs a real powerful machine, somethin’ like them PlayStation 5 thingamajigs or that Xbox thing with the letters and numbers. You know, the ones that cost a pretty penny. This “Marvel Rivals” needs all that power to show off them superheroes fightin’ and shootin’. Can’t do that on a little fella like the Switch, they say.
- No Nintendo Switch for Marvel Rivals.
- PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PC are good to go.
- Game comes out December 6, 2024.
This fella, Thaddeus Sasser, he’s the game director. That means he’s the boss, the one tellin’ everyone what to do. He said plain as day, “We ain’t puttin’ this on the Switch.” He didn’t say it all nice and polite like, but that’s what he meant. No plans, no future, nothin’. Switch is out of luck.
Now, some folks might be disappointed. I hear tell that Switch is real popular, lots of folks got ’em. But them game makers, they gotta do what they gotta do. They want their game to look good, to play good, and the Switch just ain’t up to snuff, not for this “Marvel Rivals” anyway.
So, what’s this game all about then? Well, it’s like this. You got all them Marvel superheroes, the ones from the movies and comic books. Iron Man, Spider-Man, all them fellas. And they’re fightin’ each other. Yeah, you heard me right. Not teamin’ up, but fightin’. They call it a “hero shooter.” Lots of shootin’, lots of action, lots of fancy powers goin’ off left and right.
And it ain’t just for one person, you can play with your friends, too. You know, online, like them young’uns do. Team up with your buddies and go shoot at other folks. That’s the gist of it, as far as I can tell.
Some folks are even talkin’ about whether it’ll be on them older machines, like PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. But from what I’m hearin’, that ain’t likely either. This game is all about the new, the fancy, the powerful. Them old machines just can’t keep up.
And don’t even get me started on crossplay. That’s when folks on different machines can play together. This “Marvel Rivals,” it lets you do that, but only if you got the right machine. PC players can play with PlayStation 5 players, and Xbox players, too. But the Switch? Nope, they ain’t invited to the party.
So, if you want to play this “Marvel Rivals,” you gonna need somethin’ besides that Switch. Gotta get yourself one of them fancy new machines. Or find a friend who has one and mooch off ’em, that’s what I’d do.
Now, I don’t know about you, but all this talk about fancy machines and superheroes makes my head spin. Back in my day, we didn’t have all this. We had sticks and rocks, and we made our own fun. But times change, I guess. And these young’uns, they like their fancy games. So, there you have it. No “Marvel Rivals” on the Switch. Don’t say I didn’t warn ya.
Heck, you can play it on your computermabob or them fancy Xboxes or PlayStations, but the little Switch aint invited. Seems like this game’s too big and fancy for that little fella.
And that’s all there is to it. No fancy words, no complicated stuff. Just plain and simple. No Switch for “Marvel Rivals.” You got it? Good. Now, go on and tell your friends.
