Today, I stumbled upon a name that brought back a flood of high school memories – Meredith Scudder. You see, back in my high school days at Highland Park, there was this guy named Scottie Scheffler. We all knew him, but not many of us knew he had such a talent for golf.
Well, it turns out Scottie and Meredith started dating in our senior year. They had met as freshmen, but it wasn’t until later that they really hit it off. I remember seeing them around, always smiling, always together. It was sweet, really.
Funny enough, I learned from somewhere online that Meredith didn’t even realize how good Scottie was at golf until she saw him in a commercial. Can you believe that? Dating a future golf star and not knowing the extent of his talent until you see it on TV. It’s kind of hilarious when you think about it.
Anyways, I did a bit more digging, as one does when nostalgia hits. It seems Scottie and Meredith tied the knot in 2020 after about six years of dating. That’s a long time, especially when you start dating in high school.
- They met as freshmen in high school.
- Started dating in their senior year.
- Meredith found out about Scottie’s golf skills through a commercial.
- Got married in 2020 after six years together.
And guess what? They recently had their first baby! Scottie shared the news on his Instagram, posting a cute picture of the little one. He wrote, “Welcome to the world little one,” or something like that. The guy’s the No. 1 golfer in the world now, and a new dad. Time really flies, doesn’t it?
It’s amazing to see how things turn out. One day you’re walking the halls of Highland Park High, and the next you’re reading about your classmates becoming world-famous golfers and starting families. Life is full of surprises, that’s for sure. It made me think about all the people I went to high school with and wonder where they all are now.
So, that’s my little trip down memory lane for today. Just a regular guy, reminiscing about the good old days and the unexpected paths life takes us on. Hope you enjoyed this little story as much as I enjoyed sharing it.
