Well now, let me tell ya ’bout that Scottie Scheffler feller. He’s the one who plays that fancy golf, ya know? Real good, too! But I ain’t here to tell ya ’bout his golf game, I’m here to tell ya ’bout his sister, Callie. She’s a mighty fine lady too, and she sure did shake things up in the Scheffler family a bit.
Now, Scottie, he’s a young feller, ’bout 27 years old, and he’s married to a sweet girl named Meredith. They got themselves a little boy not too long ago, little Bennett Boone Scheffler. Born May 8th down there in Dallas, Texas. But what’s more interestin’, is what happened that same day. See, Scottie and Meredith weren’t the only ones gettin’ the good news that day. Nope, not by a long shot. His sister, Callie, was havin’ herself a baby too, and wouldn’t ya know it? She and Meredith gave birth just eight hours apart! Ain’t that somethin’ special? Now Scottie became a father and an uncle all in one go, and I reckon it don’t get much better than that!
Now, Callie, she’s been a part of Scottie’s life from the get-go, of course. They growed up together in that good ol’ New Jersey, though Scottie’s spent a lotta time in Texas now. Their folks, Scott and Diane Scheffler, well they’re good people. Diane, she’s the COO of a law firm in Dallas. Yep, she’s a big shot! Scott, on the other hand, he’s more of a stay-at-home dad. Seems like they both done well for themselves, raisin’ their younguns right.
I reckon Scottie’s been around the world with his golf, meetin’ folks from all walks of life. But one person he’s real close to is his old buddy Sam Burns. Now, I ain’t talkin’ ’bout just a casual friendship. No, sir! These two boys been best friends since they was young, and they’ve played a lotta golf together, both as teammates and as competitors. And let me tell ya, they ain’t just about golf. They’s also pickleball partners! Now, I don’t rightly know much ‘bout pickleball, but it sounds like a fun little game. But I reckon it don’t matter what sport they play, these two are thick as thieves!
And while we’re on the subject of Scottie and his family, it sure is nice to know they keep their roots strong. Even though Scottie done well for himself in the golf world, he don’t forget where he came from. He’s still close to his kin, and they all support each other real good. And, well, when you got a sister like Callie, it’s no wonder Scottie’s doin’ so well. You know what they say, behind every good man, there’s a strong woman, and I reckon Callie’s one of those strong women.
Now, I gotta tell ya, when it comes to Scottie, the whole world’s watchin’ him. He’s a big deal in that golf world, but he still keeps his family close, and that’s somethin’ to admire. They all seem to be good, decent folks, raisin’ their families and supportin’ each other. If you ask me, that’s what really matters, family.
So, that’s the story of Scottie Scheffler and his sister Callie. They sure made a lotta good memories that day in May, with not one but two births to celebrate. And I reckon we’ll be hearin’ a lot more from these Schefflers in the future. Whether it’s golf or family, they seem to know how to do it right.
