Okay, so I was kicking back the other day, just browsing online, not really looking for anything specific. You know how you just fall down these rabbit holes sometimes? Anyway, I stumbled across some footage from the Pro Bowl games.

Usually, I don’t pay that much attention to the Pro Bowl itself, feels a bit like an exhibition, right? But this clip caught my eye. There was this kid, looked pretty young, standing there on the field, tossing the football around with some of the actual NFL players. And man, he wasn’t just lobbing it, he was throwing some real nice passes, spirals and everything. Looked like he knew what he was doing.
Finding Out Who It Was
I watched it a couple of times. There was something familiar about how he looked, maybe his stance or something. Then it clicked. “Wait a sec,” I thought, “that kid looks a LOT like Peyton Manning.” So, naturally, my next step was to figure out if it actually was him.
I started searching around, you know, typing stuff like “peyton manning kid throwing football” into the search bar. Took a few tries, wading through old pictures and articles about Peyton himself. His career was insane, right? All those records – MVPs, passing yards, touchdowns, leading the Colts and Broncos. The guy was legendary.
- Most MVP awards
- Most 4,000-yard passing seasons
- Held the single-season passing yards record
- Held the single-season passing touchdowns record
Stuff like that kept popping up. Took a bit to filter through that and get to the current stuff about his family.
The Details Emerge
Finally, I found what I was looking for. Turns out, yes, that was indeed his son! His name is Marshall Manning. And the clip was real, him throwing dimes at the Pro Bowl. Pretty cool.

Then I got a bit more curious. How old is he? Does Peyton have other kids? So I kept digging. Found out Marshall is actually a twin. He’s got a twin sister named Mosley Thompson Manning. They were born back in March 2011, which makes them, what, 13 now? Man, time flies. Seems like just yesterday Peyton was still playing.
It mentioned Peyton and his wife, Ashley, had the twins about ten years after they got married back in 2001. It’s just interesting seeing the next generation pop up, especially with a family name so tied to football. You see Eli’s kids sometimes too, remember seeing pictures of him celebrating wins with his daughter. It’s a whole football dynasty thing, I guess.
So yeah, that was my little discovery session. Started with seeing a kid throw a football well, ended up confirming it was Peyton Manning’s son, Marshall, finding out he’s a twin, and getting a reminder of just how dominant Peyton was back in the day. Just a random observation that led me down a path for a bit. Pretty neat seeing the kid seems to have inherited some of that arm talent.
