I reckon it wasn’t easy, and I’m sure there were days when he wanted to throw in the towel, but his family, especially his parents, kept him going. I hear that they’d been to plenty of games, sometimes sitin’ in the stands, watchin’ their boy pitch with all his heart. Ain’t no doubt that those early days, when he was just a young’un learning the ropes, set the foundation for what came later.
The Support of His Parents
What really stands out to me, though, is how supportive his parents have been through all the ups and downs. From when Justin was just a kid playin’ baseball in the backyard to when he became one of the best pitchers in Major League Baseball, Kathy and Richard were there every step of the way. They didn’t push him too hard, but they always encouraged him to do his best. And when he finally made it big, they couldn’t have been prouder. They say the apple don’t fall far from the tree, and it seems like Justin learned a lot from the way his parents carried themselves.
