Now, you might be thinkin’, “Where exactly is all this?” Well, Venus was born up in Saginaw, Michigan, but she didn’t grow up there. She grew up in Compton, California. Yep, that’s where she and her sister Serena started playin’ tennis. They moved to Florida later on, after they decided to take tennis real seriously. It was all to help ‘em both get better at the game. They joined some tennis academy in West Palm Beach, so that’s when they packed up and made the big move.
