Alright, let’s talk about that Camelot’s Tournament thing in Monopoly Go. Saw it pop up, you know, like they always do, flashing on the side of the screen. Usually, I kinda ignore them unless the rewards look decent or I’m bored.

Getting Into It
This time, I dunno, maybe the name ‘Camelot’ sounded kinda cool, or maybe I just had a bunch of dice saved up. Figured I’d jump in and see what was what. Checked the rewards list first, naturally. It was the usual mix: dice, cash, sticker packs. Saw a shield or a token in there too, sometimes they have unique ones for these events.
The main thing, like most tournaments, was landing on Railroads. That’s where the points really rack up. You get points for shutdowns and bank heists. More points if you hit big on the heist, less if you get blocked on a shutdown. Standard stuff.
How It Went Down
So, I started rolling. Kept the multiplier low at first, just testing the waters, seeing how often I’d land on a Railroad. Then, when I felt a bit lucky, or maybe just impatient, I started cranking up the multiplier. Rolled with x50, sometimes x100 if I was feeling bold. You know how it is, you see that Railroad square getting closer and you just go for it.
Landed a few good heists early on, which shot me up the leaderboard pretty quick. Felt good seeing my name climb past others. Then came the shutdowns. It’s always satisfying blocking someone’s shield, but even more when you smash their landmark for points. Got a few successful ones, saw my point total jump.
Of course, it wasn’t all smooth sailing. Had a dry spell where I just couldn’t hit a Railroad to save my life. Burned through a chunk of dice just landing on boring property squares or, worse, Go To Jail. That always stings, especially with a high multiplier active.

Checked the leaderboard constantly. It’s kinda addictive, right? You see someone creeping up behind you, or someone way ahead you wanna catch. There was this one player, man, they must have been rolling non-stop or got incredibly lucky. Their score just kept jumping by huge amounts. Made me wonder if I should even bother trying for the top spots.
The Grind and The End
It turned into a bit of a grind after a while. Roll, hope for Railroads, check leaderboard, repeat. My dice count started looking sad. Had to collect the freebies, finish some other albums, anything to get more rolls. Used some of the cash won to upgrade landmarks, hoping to get dice from the board completion bar.
Managed to stay in a decent position, not top 3, but good enough for some rewards. I think I ended up somewhere in the top 10 or 15. The final few minutes were tense, people always make a last push.
- Got a chunk of dice back.
- Some in-game cash (which vanished fast on upgrades).
- A sticker pack, mostly duplicates, shocker.
Was It Worth It?
Eh, mixed feelings. It passed the time, and getting those rewards was okay. But man, these tournaments can really drain your dice if you’re not careful or if you get competitive. It’s easy to get sucked into chasing ranks. Landing those heists feels great, but the long stretches of nothing burger rolls are frustrating.
Honestly, I probably spent more dice than I won back, but I guess that’s part of the game loop. It wasn’t the best tournament, wasn’t the worst. Just another day rolling the dice in Monopoly Go, really. Would I jump into the next one? Probably, if I’m bored again. Can’t help myself sometimes.
