Okay, here’s my experience about Tarik Cohen 40 Yard Time sharing:
Man, I gotta tell you about this little experiment I did today. So, I’ve been hearing all this talk about Tarik Cohen, you know, the former North Carolina A&T running back. They say he’s fast, like, really fast. I was curious and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Turns out, this dude ran one of the quickest 40-yard dashes at the NFL Combine, like, he’s up there with the fastest!
Now, I’m no professional athlete, far from it, but I thought, “Hey, why not see how I stack up?” I mean, I do run and I am a sports guy, it can’t be THAT hard. It’s just 40 yards, right? That’s about 36 meters. Easy peasy, I thought.
So, I grabbed my phone, found a stopwatch app, and headed out to the local park. First, I needed to mark out 40 yards. Let me tell you, pacing that out was a bit of a workout in itself. I used big steps, guessing each one was about a yard. Then, just to be sure, I measured it again with a measuring tape I found in my garage. It wasn’t perfect, but it was close enough.
Once I had my makeshift track, I did a few stretches, you know, the usual stuff – touching my toes, a couple of jumping jacks. I even did some of those high knees things, just to feel like a real runner. Then, I set up my phone to record myself. Gotta have proof, right?
Here’s how I did it:
- Warm-up: Did some basic stretches and a light jog.
- Set up: Marked out 40 yards at the park, used my phone to record.
- The run: Took a deep breath, got in a runner’s stance (as best as I could), and bolted when I hit the stopwatch.
I ran as fast as I could, pumping my arms and legs like those guys on TV. By the time I hit the end, I was gasping for air like I’d just run a marathon. I stopped the timer and checked the damage.
My Time
Okay, drumroll, please… I did it in about 8 seconds. Yeah, I know, it’s not exactly NFL material. But hey, I’m no professional! It was tough, though, I’ll give you that. I felt every single one of those 40 yards.
After catching my breath, I watched the video of myself. Let’s just say I looked way slower than I felt. It was a humbling experience, to say the least. It really gave me a new appreciation for what these athletes do. I mean, Tarik Cohen did his 40-yard dash in, like, 4 seconds! That’s almost twice as fast as me. These guys are on a whole other level.
So, yeah, that was my little adventure today. I tried to run like a pro, and let’s just say it’s a lot harder than it looks. I think I’ll stick to my regular jogs from now on. But hey, at least I can say I tried, right?
It was fun. It was also tiring. Would I do it again? Probably not. But it was definitely an experience, I guess. It was all good, haha.
