Alright, so I finally got my hands on EA Sports College Football 25 the other day. Been waiting a long time, like everyone else. First thing I did was just boot it up, get past all the intro stuff. Had to play a quick game right away, you know? Just an exhibition match to get a feel for the controls and how it plays this year.

Managed to win that first game, thankfully. Wasn’t pretty, but a win’s a win. Then I decided, okay, let’s dive into the main course. For me, that’s always Dynasty mode. Picked my old alma mater, ready to build a powerhouse. As soon as I got the Dynasty set up and rolling, I noticed a couple of notifications pop. Checked my profile, and sure enough, got a trophy for winning my first game and another one for just starting the Dynasty. Okay, cool, easy start.
Digging into the Trophy List
After playing a couple of games in my first season, I took a proper look at the trophy list. Wanted to see what kind of challenges they put in this year. Some looked pretty straightforward, like winning conference championships or bowl games. Others looked like they’d take some real effort. You know the ones – achieve some crazy specific stat, or maybe win the Heisman.
I decided to focus on a couple of things early on. One trophy was for successfully recruiting a 5-star player. Seemed like a good goal for building my team anyway. Another one I spotted was for winning your big rivalry game. Always gotta win that one.
The Recruiting Grind
Man, that recruiting trophy took some work. It wasn’t just point-and-click. I spent a good chunk of time actually scouting players, figuring out who the real gems were. Found this amazing quarterback prospect, a 5-star kid. Put everything into recruiting him.
- First, I had to scout him properly.
- Then started the weekly calls, trying to pitch the school.
- Scheduled a campus visit for him.
- Had to compete against like, five other top schools wanting him.
Lost out on my first couple of targets, which was frustrating. You put in the effort, make the pitches, and they go elsewhere. But I kept at it. Finally, after what felt like ages in game-time weeks, I got the confirmation. That 5-star QB committed! Felt like a real accomplishment, and seeing that trophy notification pop up was sweet.

Rivalry Showdown
Next up was the big rivalry game later in the season. Always a tense week leading up to it in Dynasty mode. The game itself was nuts. Went back and forth the whole time. They scored late, went ahead. We got the ball back with barely any time left. Drove down the field, heart pounding, and managed to kick a field goal as time expired to win it. Pure chaos, but we got the W. And sure enough, another trophy unlocked for winning the rivalry game. That one felt earned.
So yeah, that’s been my process so far. Got the game, played a bit, checked the trophies, and started targeting a few. Knocked out some of the basic ones and a couple that took some real focus, like the recruiting and rivalry wins. Still got a long list to go through. Some of these, like winning the National Championship or maybe that Heisman trophy, look like they’ll be a proper journey. But hey, that’s the fun of it, right? Taking it one game, one season, one trophy at a time.
