Alright, alright, let’s talk about this WWE PPV tonight thing, ya know? My grandkids, they always yellin’ about it, so I figured, why not, let’s see what the fuss is all about.
So, first things first, where ya gonna watch it? Seems like there’s a whole bunch of ways, more than I got chickens in the coop, that’s for sure. They say you can order it with your remote, somethin’ about Channel 123 for the good picture and 124 for the not-so-good picture. HD and SD, they call it. Sounds fancy, but I bet it’s the same ol’ wrestlin’.
Now, tonight’s show, it ain’t just any ol’ show, no sirree. It’s this WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event thing. They bringin’ it back after, what, sixteen years? That’s a long time, even longer than it takes for my tomatoes to grow! They’re makin’ a big deal outta it, sayin’ it’s a special night on cable TV. Used to be you could only see this stuff if you went to the arena, smelled all the sweat and heard the grunts up close. Now you can watch it in your pajamas, eatin’ popcorn. Times sure have changed.
- Where it’s at: They’re havin’ it at this Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum place, in some town called Uniondale. Sounds like a big fancy place, not like my ol’ barn, that’s for sure.
- When it’s on: December 14th, 2024, they say. Hope it don’t interfere with my bingo night, or there’ll be trouble.
And if you ain’t got cable, or whatever they call it these days, they say you can watch it online, too. Livestream, that’s the word they use. Something called Peacock, like the bird? Sounds silly, but I guess that’s how the young’uns do things. Starts at 8 p.m. on the East Coast, or 5 p.m. if you’re out West. Gotta keep track of the time, don’t wanna miss the big fights!
Then there’s this WWE Raw thing. My grandson, he’s always talkin’ about it. Said you can watch it on somethin’ called Sky Go, or wait till next year and it’ll be on Netflix. Netflix, that’s where they watch all them movies, right? Never thought they’d put wrestlin’ on there, but I guess anything’s possible these days. January 6th, 2025, that’s when it starts on Netflix. Mark your calendars, if you got one.
And if you’re really serious about this wrestlin’ stuff, you can get somethin’ called WWE Live or Total Divas Network. Dish Network, channel 114, they say. Comes in all the packages, so you don’t gotta pick and choose. Whether you’re orderin’ the Pay-Per-View, or watchin’ that Monday Night Raw, it’s all there. Sounds like a lot of wrestlin’ to me, more than a body can handle!
So, yeah, that’s the deal with the WWE PPV tonight. Lots of ways to watch it, lots of names and channels to remember. Me? I’ll probably just stick to my soap operas, but hey, if you like watchin’ folks in tights smack each other around, then you go right ahead. Just don’t expect me to understand all the fancy moves and the smack talk. It’s all just a bunch of noise to me, but as long as the grandkids are happy, that’s all that matters.
And remember, whether it’s Saturday Night’s Main Event, WWE Raw, or some other fancy name they come up with, it’s all just wrestlin’. People pretendin’ to fight, makin’ a show for the crowd. Don’t take it too serious, ya hear? Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. Or, you know, go watch somethin’ else. Ain’t nobody gonna judge ya.
