Well, this V Rising Blood Crystal thing, I heard the young folks talkin’ ’bout it. Sounds complicated, but I guess it’s important for them gamer kids. They say it’s a resource, somethin’ you gotta find in that V Rising game. I don’t get it, but okay.
They say you use this Blood Crystal to make somethin’ called an Onyx Tear. Sounds like somethin’ you’d cry, but I guess it’s for weapons. Fancy weapons for a fancy game, I reckon. These young’uns and their games, always needin’ somethin’ special.
They say you gotta mine for it, like diggin’ for taters, but instead of taters, it’s these Blood Crystals. And you gotta find ’em to make them fancy weapons. I guess it takes a lot of work. Reminds me of quiltin’, gotta put in the time to get somethin’ nice.

Now, I heard ’em talkin’ ’bout findin’ folks with “100% blood”. Don’t make no sense to me. We all got blood, ain’t we? But in this game, I guess some blood is better than others. They say you gotta clear out whole areas, like cleanin’ out the chicken coop, and then wait for ’em to come back. Like waitin’ for the rain to come after a dry spell, I suppose. They call it “respawn”.
They say best place to look is places called Gloomrot and Mortium. Said them places is fightin’ all the time, so there’s always people… or somethin’… comin’ back. Like a family feud that never ends, always somethin’ brewin’. They say they respawn automatically, cause of that there fightin.
And for findin’ these Blood Crystals, they talk about Crude Gems. Now, gems, I know a little somethin’ about. My mama had a pretty ring with a ruby, once. But these Crude Gems, they ain’t for wearin’. They say the best place to find ’em is near a teleporter, somethin’ that takes you places fast, I guess. It’s in a place called Farbane Woods, on the western side. Sounds like a place where you’d find mushrooms, but I guess they got these Crude Gems instead.
Then there’s this Mutant Grease. Sounds awful, don’t it? Like somethin’ you’d find in the bottom of an old fryin’ pan. But in this game, it’s somethin’ they need. They say you can find it in a place called the Pools of Rebirth. Sounds kinda nice, ‘cept for the mutants. They say you gotta look in barrels filled with sludge, and sometimes you find this Mutant Grease. Fifteen of ’em, they said. I wouldn’t touch it with a ten-foot pole, but these kids, they need it for their game.
Now, the other thing I heard was go to a place name Dunley Monastery. Sounds like a church. They said go into that there church, check the nuns. I don’t know what you gotta check about them nuns, but I reckon they got their reasons. And if they ain’t what you want, they said kill them. Kill the boss too. Sounds harsh to me, but I reckon these are the times we live in. Then just camp in there. Wait for respawns, rinse and repeat. Like washin’ clothes, over and over, until they’re clean. They said, eventually you get the 100% Scholar. What’s a Scholar? Maybe a learned fella.
They said to take some holy resistance potions, though. I don’t know what that means, but it sounds like somethin’ you need to protect yourself from… somethin’. I always said a good prayer is all the protection you need, but these kids, they got their potions.
This V Rising Blood Crystal farm, it’s a whole lot of work, ain’t it? Reminds me of tendin’ a garden. You gotta plant the seeds, water ’em, pull the weeds, and wait for the harvest. And even then, sometimes you get a bad crop. I guess this game is like that. You gotta put in the work, and sometimes you get what you want, and sometimes you don’t. Just like life, I suppose. But you keep at it. Cause you never know what’s goin’ to sprout.
It’s a young person’s world. This V Rising Blood Crystal stuff is their thing. They will find them and make their fancy weapons and do their game.
