Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into Fire Emblem Engage lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride! I really wanna talk about the characters because, man, there are so many, and figuring out who’s actually good has been a whole thing.
So, first off, I started by just playing the game. You know, getting a feel for the characters, seeing how they performed in battles. There are, like, 35 of them? It’s a lot to take in, honestly. And the game has just come out, so it is fresh on my mind.
Then, I started looking into what other people were saying. I read some guides and tier lists online, just to see if my experiences matched up with the general consensus. You know how it is, sometimes you think a character is awesome, and then everyone else is like, “Nah, they’re trash.”
From there, I started experimenting. I tried different class combinations for each character, tested out various pairings with the Emblems, which, by the way, are super cool. It’s like giving your characters a power boost from heroes of the past. Some of the pairings, like Alcryst and Lyn, are just killer!
I also paid attention to the skills that each Emblem can learn as their bond levels increase. Some of those skills are insane and can really change the game. Some of these Emblems are just better than the others.
Then I started to actually get into it. I started to write down all these data to a notebook. Then started to organize them from the best to the worst. It was not easy, since some characters are just too good in general.
After all that, I think I’ve got a pretty good grasp on who the best characters are. I mean, it’s all subjective, of course, but based on my experience and what I’ve seen others say, I feel pretty confident in my rankings. It’s been a fun journey, messing around with all these different characters and seeing what they can do. The characters are not short in this game, for sure. There is one specific character that I think is great: Panette. Pairing her with Ike is an absolute win for me.
