Alright, let’s talk about this fella, Francis Ngannou. Folks keep jabberin’ ’bout how hard he punches, like it’s somethin’ outta this world. They say his punch is like gettin’ hit by a car, a Ford Escort, goin’ full speed. Now, I ain’t never been hit by no car, thank the Lord, but that sounds mighty powerful, don’t it?
They say this Ngannou fella, he’s a fighter, a “Pro MMA Fighter” they call him, outta Las Vegas. Means he punches and kicks and wrestles, I reckon. Sounds like a rough and tumble business, not for the faint of heart. They also say he’s the number 8 fella in the big heavyweights, means he’s one of the toughest around, I guess.
Now, this here Ngannou, he went and fought this other fella, Tyson Fury. Fury’s a big name, a champion they say. Folks were surprised, see, ’cause Ngannou gave Fury a real hard time. Nobody expected that. They figured Fury would just walk all over him, but Ngannou, he showed ’em somethin’ different.
And that punch, that’s what everyone’s talkin’ about. They say it’s the hardest punch in the world, got some kinda record. 96 horsepower they say it is. Don’t rightly know what that means, but it sounds like a whole lotta somethin’. Like a tractor pullin’ a heavy load, maybe. Or a runaway horse, wild and strong.
Dana White, this fella who runs the fightin’ business, he’s been talkin’ about Ngannou’s power too. Said it’s somethin’ special, somethin’ fierce. Now, Dana White, he’s seen a lot of fightin’, so if he says it’s somethin’, you can bet your bottom dollar it is.
They got all these numbers, you know, for how many punches these fellas land, and how many they dodge. “SLpM” and “Str. Acc.” and all that. Can’t make heads or tails of it myself, but it’s supposed to tell you how good they are at hittin’ and not gettin’ hit. Ngannou, he must be pretty good at hittin’, considerin’ that punch of his.
- They say he’s gonna fight another fella now, Anthony Joshua, over in Saudi Arabia. Another big name, another tough guy. Gonna be another big fight, I reckon. Wonder if that Joshua fella can take a punch like that Ford Escort they talkin’ about.
- And they sayin’ this fight with Fury, it was one of the biggest of the year. Folks was watchin’ all over, I hear. Musta been somethin’ to see, all that punchin’ and grunting.
People are also sayin’ this Ngannou chap is now fightin’ in somethin’ called PFL. Don’t know what that is, but it sounds like more fightin’. Seems like that’s all these fellas do, fight and punch and kick. Must be a hard life, but they seem to like it, I guess. Gotta be somethin’ in it for ’em, money or glory, or maybe just the thrill of it all.
So, what’s this punch like? Well, like I said, they say it’s like gettin’ hit by a car. A Ford Escort, goin’ as fast as it can. That’s a mighty powerful image, ain’t it? Makes you think of somethin’ strong and unstoppable. Like a force of nature, like a storm or a flood. Somethin’ you don’t wanna mess with, that’s for sure.
And that’s about all I know ’bout this Francis Ngannou and his punch. He’s a fighter, a powerful one, and he punches like a car crash. That’s the long and short of it, as I see it. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about fightin’ has made me hungry.
