Okay, so I wanted to make a custom cover for UFC 4, ’cause, you know, the standard one is kinda…meh. I’m a huge fan, so I wanted something that really popped and showed off my favorite fighters.

Getting Started
First, I dug around for some high-quality images. You gotta have good source material, right? No blurry, pixelated stuff. I wanted crisp, action-packed shots of the fighters I was gonna use. This took a bit of time, browsing through different websites and saving the best ones I found.
Choosing the Fighters
This was the fun part! I decided to go with a split design. On one side, I put Conor McGregor, ’cause, well, he’s Conor. On the other, I went with Amanda Nunes. She’s a beast, and I wanted to represent the women’s divisions properly.
The Editing Process
I’m no Photoshop wizard, but I know the basics. I opened up the images and started playing around.
- I used a photo editing program(Gimp) to my favorite fighters.
- I removed the backgrounds of their photos as cleanly as I could. This was probably the most tedious part, getting all the edges just right.
- Then, I found a cool background image. It had a sort of grungy, arena-like feel to it, which I thought fit the UFC vibe.
- I layered the fighter images onto the background, adjusting their sizes and positions until it looked balanced.
- Next, I added the UFC 4 logo. I grabbed that from a quick online search. Gotta have the official branding, right?
Adding the Text
I wanted to keep it simple with the text. Just “UFC 4” in a bold, impactful font. I played around with different fonts and colors until I found something that looked tough but still readable. I placed the text strategically so it didn’t cover up the fighters too much.
Finishing Touches
I spent a good while just tweaking things. Adjusting the brightness and contrast, sharpening the images a bit, making sure the colors were vibrant. Little things that make a big difference in the overall look.

The Final Result
Finally, I saved the finished cover. It was a good feeling to see it all come together. I’m sure it’s that it looks way better than the original. It’s got my favorite fighters, and it feels more personal. Now, every time I play, I get to see my custom creation. Pretty sweet!
