Alright, let’s gab about this Torrey DeVitto and David Ross thing. Heard they were together, then not. Like a blinkin’ firefly, here one second, gone the next.
So, this Torrey, she’s an actress, you know, on them TV shows. Pretty little thing, I seen her picture once. And David, he’s a baseball fella, used to play, then he was tellin’ other fellas how to play. Big deal in Chicago, they say. Chicago Cubs, that’s the team.
Now, David, he was married before, long time, fifteen years they say. Then, poof, it was over. Don’t know why, ain’t none of my business. But then, he starts up with this Torrey girl. Folks were talkin’, newspapers were writin’, sayin’ they were all lovey-dovey. “Love him madly,” she said, or somethin’ like that. Sounded serious, didn’t it?
- They seemed happy, you know? Pictures and all.
- But then, quicker than a jackrabbit, it’s over.
- She goes on some podcast, tells everyone it’s done.
Makes ya wonder, don’t it? What happened? Was it the fame? The pressure? Maybe he snored too loud, or she left her socks on the floor. Who knows? These city folks, they got their own ways.
This Torrey, she ain’t sittin’ around cryin’, though. Nope. She’s moved on. Found herself another fella, a writer this time, and they got hitched! Married, like in a church and all. Good for her, I say. Life’s too short to be mopin’ around.
And David? Well, he got the boot from his job, they fired him. Don’t know if it had anything to do with the Torrey thing or not. Maybe he was just bad at tellin’ them fellas how to play ball. Guess we’ll never know.
Relationships are a funny thing, ain’t they? One minute you’re all cuddled up, the next you’re strangers. Like a corn stalk in the wind, swayin’ one way, then the other. Sometimes they last, sometimes they don’t. That’s just the way it is. Just gotta pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and keep on goin’.
Now, Torrey, she used to be on this show called “Chicago Med.” Played a doctor, I think. But she left that show, too. Seems like she likes to keep movin’, tryin’ new things. Maybe that’s why things with David didn’t last. Maybe he likes things steady, and she likes things changin’. Who can say?
And that Jared fella, the one she married? He’s a writer and director, they say. Makes movies, or somethin’ like that. Seems like a different kind of fella than David, more artsy, maybe. Maybe that’s what she needs. Someone who understands her, someone who ain’t gonna tie her down.
Anyway, that’s the story as I heard it. Torrey and David, together for a bit, then not. She’s married now, he’s got no job. Life goes on, like it always does. Just like a river flowin’, never stoppin’, always movin’ forward. And that, my friends, is all there is to it.
Heard it all happened pretty fast, too. Divorce, then Torrey, then no Torrey, then fired, then she’s married! Makes your head spin, don’t it? But that’s how it goes sometimes. Fast as a greased piglet.
So, the next time you’re gossipin’ with your neighbor, you can tell ’em all about it. Torrey DeVitto, David Ross, a quick romance, a quick split, and life movin’ on. Just like a blinkin’ firefly, here one second, gone the next.
That’s what happens when you got all that city life. Here in the country things are slower but more steady, like a tractor plowing a field.
