Okay, folks, let’s dive into my little experiment today with figuring out Tiger Woods’ handicap. I’ve always been a huge golf fan, and Tiger… well, he’s Tiger. The GOAT. So, naturally, I got curious about what his handicap would be right now.

First, I tried to find some official, up-to-the-minute info. You know, like a real-time tracker. No dice. Everything I found was either old news or just speculation.
So, I decided to do some digging. What did I do, Then I spent a good chunk of my morning watching recent tournament footage of Tiger. I focused on his rounds, paying close attention to the courses he played and how he performed on each hole.
The Hard Part: Making Educated Guesses
This is where it gets tricky. I had to make some estimations. I looked at the course ratings and slope ratings for the courses he’s played recently. I compared his scores to what a scratch golfer (a 0 handicap) might shoot on those same courses, in similar conditions.
- I used a spreadsheet to keep track of everything. Course, par, Tiger’s score, estimated scratch score… the whole nine yards.
- I factored in things like weather conditions (wind, rain, etc.) as best I could, based on reports and what I saw in the videos.
Then I did the best I could with my findings. I compared the courses, looked at difficulty, and watched Tiger’s play carefully. It was tough! Based on my rough calculations (and I mean really rough), I’d guess Tiger’s playing to something around a +6 or +7 right now. Maybe even better on a good day.
It was a fun little exercise, I think +6 or +7 is right about it !
