Alright, so I decided to finally sit down and make my own Nikke tier list. You see tons of these floating around, but honestly, some just didn’t feel right based on what I was seeing in my own playthroughs. So, I figured, why not just sort it out myself?

Getting Started – The Grind
First thing’s first, you gotta play the game. A lot. I spent a good chunk of time just running different Nikkes through campaign stages, the simulation room, interception, you name it. I wasn’t just auto-battling either; I was actually watching how they performed, who targeted what, how quickly bursts filled up.
I started jotting down notes. Just messy stuff, really. Things like:
- Character A: Hits hard, but dies super fast.
- Character B: Amazing healing, keeps everyone topped off.
- Character C: Buffs are okay, but kinda slow to activate.
- Character D: Melts bosses, useless against mobs.
It wasn’t organized yet, just a brain dump of observations after countless battles. I also looked closely at their skills, equipment potential, and how they synergized, or didn’t, with others.
Making Sense of the Mess
Okay, now I had a pile of notes and gameplay feelings. The next step was trying to categorize them. This was tougher. What makes an ‘S’ tier? For me, it had to be characters who were almost always useful, strong in their role across different modes, maybe even defining certain team setups.
So, I decided on my tiers: S (Super strong, game-changing), A (Very good, core team members), B (Solid, usable, maybe niche), C (Okay in specific situations or early game), and maybe a D (Just… not great right now).

I opened up a simple spreadsheet. Nothing fancy. Just columns for Name, Tier, and a ‘Notes’ section for why I put them there. Then began the painful process of placing each Nikke. Moved Scarlet around like three times. Is she S? Or maybe A+ because of her HP drain? Put Liter straight into S, no questions asked, that cooldown reduction is just too good. Some were easy, others I debated with myself for ages.
Testing and Tweaking
Putting them on the list wasn’t the end. I had to see if my rankings held up. I started building teams based on my list. Okay, theory says this S-tier combo should wreck this boss. Let’s try it. Sometimes it worked perfectly. Other times, a character I ranked ‘A’ felt more like a ‘B’ in that specific setup, or a ‘B’ tier suddenly shone really bright with the right support.
This meant going back to the spreadsheet. More tweaking. Moving characters up or down based on actual performance, not just theory. It’s a constant back-and-forth. You think you have it figured out, then you pull a new Nikke or they rebalance something, and you have to rethink parts of it.
Consistency was a big factor I started focusing on. Can this Nikke perform well most of the time, or only when the stars align? That definitely shifted a few rankings.
The ‘Final’ Version (For Now)
Eventually, I got to a point where the list felt pretty stable based on my current roster and understanding of the game. It’s not perfect, and it’ll definitely change as I get more Nikkes, limit breaks, or the game updates. But for my use, knowing who to invest resources in, who fits where, it works.

It was a bit of a process, more involved than just looking at someone else’s list, but I feel like I understand the characters way better now. It’s my personal roadmap for Nikke, born from hours of actually playing and figuring stuff out. That’s the only way to make a list that truly works for you, I think.
