Okay, so check it, today I’m gonna walk you through how I managed to snag that Marina Twitch ban clip. It was a whole process, not gonna lie.

First things first, I noticed the chat blowing up. You know how it is, a million emotes and random messages. I was kinda watching the stream but also doing other stuff, so I wasn’t paying super close attention. But the chat was a dead giveaway that something juicy just went down.
Then, I was thinking, “Shit, I gotta get this on record.” So I started scrambling. I wish I was already recording, but i wasn’t! Lesson learned. I use OBS Studio usually, and quickly launched it. I had a preset scene ready for twitch, thank god.
Next challenge, the moment was gone! Twitch chat moves faster than I can read sometimes, it’s insane. So I did what any reasonable person would do: started digging through the VOD. Here’s where the real work began. I skipped back and forth, skimming through the timestamp, hoping to find where the action went down.
Once I found the right spot (after like, 20 minutes, ugh), I rewatched it a bunch of times to make sure I had the exact start and end points for the clip. Precision is key! I didn’t want any unnecessary fluff before or after.
Then came the OBS magic. I set the recording area to just the video player, no need to capture my whole desktop. Hit record a few seconds before the good part, let it run through the whole thing, and stopped recording right after the punchline.

Now I had this raw video file. It was a decent quality, but a little rough around the edges. Time for some editing! I opened it in my video editor (I use DaVinci Resolve, but anything works). I trimmed the beginning and end super precisely, making sure the clip was clean and impactful.
After that, just saved it as an .mp4, ready to share with the world! I uploaded it to my Google Drive and shared to the relevant people.
And that’s how I got the Marina Twitch ban clip. It’s a process, but totally worth it for those golden moments. Next time, I’ll be ready with the record button already pressed!
