Okay, so I was trying to figure out who’s gonna be playing where for the TCU Horned Frogs this season. You know, like who’s starting, who’s backing up, the whole nine yards. So I decided to dig into their football depth chart.

First, I started by hitting up the usual spots – you know, the big sports websites. I figured they’d have something, even if it was just a basic rundown.
I spent some time poking around. I was mainly looking for something official, straight from TCU. Sometimes, the team will put out a PDF or something on their own website.
I also checked out some forums and fan sites. You gotta be careful with those, ’cause anyone can post anything, but sometimes you find some good nuggets of info from people who really follow the team closely.
After digging, and cross checking all that stuff I found, I started putting together my own little depth chart. Just a simple list, really, of each position and the players who are likely to be in the mix.
Quarterbacks
- Starter: I put down the guy who’s been starting most recently.
- Backup: Then I listed the other quarterbacks, in the order I think they’d probably come in if the starter got hurt.
I did the same thing for all the other positions – running backs, wide receivers, offensive line, the whole defense. It’s not perfect, of course, but it gives me a pretty good idea of what to expect.

It’s always a bit of a guessing game at the start of the season, ’cause things can change fast. Injuries happen, guys step up and surprise you, and coaches make changes. But putting together this depth chart helped me feel a little more prepared for the season.
Finally, I keep my chart updated! I tried to watch some practices or scrimmages to make my notes more accurate.
