Hey everyone, so I’ve been wanting to try out that Conor McGregor style for a while now, you know? The guy’s got a look, and I figured, why not give it a shot?
Getting the Hair Right
First things first, the hair. I went to my usual barber, showed him a bunch of pictures of McGregor. We’re talking about that slicked-back undercut thing he’s got going on. The sides, got to be real short, almost shaved, right?
So my barber starts snipping away. He trimmed up the top, keeping it a bit longer than the sides. Then, he started working on those sides, using his clippers. A lot of hair hit the floor, that’s for sure. After a good amount of time, he’s got the sides faded just right, blending them into the top nicely.
Once the cut was done, I grabbed some pomade, ran it through the top of my hair, and slicked it back. Took a few tries to get that kind of sharp, defined look McGregor has. It’s definitely a change, but it feels pretty good.
The Beard Game
Next up, the beard. Now, I don’t have that full, thick beard like Conor. I got my beard trimmer out, and started shaping what I had.
I made sure to keep the edges sharp, defining the jawline a bit more. Then, I trimmed the length down, not too short, but enough to give it that neat, tidy look. It’s definitely not as impressive as McGregor’s, but it’s a step in the right direction, I think.
Dressing the Part
Now for the clothes, Conor is known for those sharp suits, right? I raided my closet, looking for anything that could work. Found a decent blue suit that I haven’t worn in ages.
I also dug out a few of my more fitted shirts, some of those patterned ones that are a bit bolder. Threw on the suit, paired it with one of those shirts, and added a pocket square for that extra touch. Looking in the mirror, it felt pretty different, but in a good way.
Trying to Carry Myself Differently
It’s not just about the look, it’s about the attitude too, you know? I tried walking with a bit more swagger, holding my head a bit higher. It felt kinda weird at first, almost like I was pretending to be someone else.
I also tried to talk a bit louder, be a bit more assertive in conversations. It’s not easy to just switch up your personality like that, but it was an interesting experiment, for sure.
The Final Verdict
So, after a few days of this, I gotta say, it’s been fun. Do I look exactly like Conor McGregor? Definitely not. But I managed to capture a bit of that vibe, I think.
- Hair: The haircut is definitely the closest thing to the real deal.
- Beard: Still working on growing it out a bit more, but the shaping is getting there.
- Clothes: I feel more confident in those suits, that’s for sure.
- Attitude: Still trying to figure out that balance of confidence without being a total jerk.
It’s a lot of work to keep up this kind of style, to be honest. But hey, it’s been a fun experiment, and I might even keep a few elements of it going forward. Who knows, maybe I’ll even try to learn how to fight like him next! Just kidding… mostly.
