Alright, so, I’ve been grinding away at Road to the Show in MLB The Show, trying to make my player the best he can be. But sometimes, you just feel like you’re stuck on a team that’s not going anywhere, or maybe the team’s just not using your talents right. So, I decided to figure out how to request a trade.
First thing I did was go into the “My Ballplayer” menu. This is where all the magic happens for your guy. You’ve got all your options in here, like checking your stats, your development, you name it. Once I was in there, I went straight to the “My Career” tab. This is where you can handle all the career stuff, not just playing games.
Now, this is where it gets a little tricky. I had to look around for a bit, but eventually, I found an option that said “Locker Room.” Clicked on that, and boom, there was another menu with a bunch of options. I scanned through it until I saw “Request Trade.” It was pretty clear that this was the button I needed.
So, I clicked it, and the game asked me to pick my desired team. That was cool. I got to choose where I wanted to go. There’s a whole list of teams, and you can even filter them by division or league if you want. I had my eye on a specific team, one that I thought would be a good fit for my player’s skills and position. Made my choice and confirmed.
After that, it wasn’t immediate. It’s not like you click it, and bam, you’re on a new team. It took a few in-game days, but I kept playing my games, trying to show off a little, you know, in case the new team was watching. Then, finally, I got a notification that my trade request was approved. Suddenly I was packing my bags and moving to a new team!
Here’s the breakdown of what I did:
- Went to “My Ballplayer” menu.
- Clicked on “My Career.”
- Found and opened the “Locker Room” option.
- Selected “Request Trade.”
- Chose my desired team from the list.
- Waited a few in-game days while still playing.
- Got the notification that my trade request was approved and moved to the new team.
What I learned
It is really not that hard to switch teams if you are not feeling the current situation. Just a few menus and some waiting. And picking the right team is super important. It is better to go to a team that really needs your position. Oh, and keep playing well, even after you make your request. It might help your chances. And it’s more fun this way, right?
