OK, I’ve been working on something that’s been bugging me for a while now – my height when it comes to golfing. I’m not the tallest guy on the course, and it’s been a real challenge. But I’ve been trying out a few things, and I think I’m starting to get the hang of it.
First off, I realized I needed to change my mindset. Instead of seeing my height as a disadvantage, I started to focus on what I could do. I watched a ton of videos and read a bunch of stuff online about how shorter golfers manage. It was tough at first, but I kept at it.
The Experiment
-
Swinging Experiments: I spent hours on the driving range trying different swing techniques. I focused on creating lag in my swing, trying to get that snap at the end. It was exhausting, and my arms felt like jelly most days, but I could see the ball starting to go further.
-
Club Adjustments: I got myself some lighter clubs. At first, it felt weird, like I was swinging air, but then I started to notice a difference. My swing speed went up, and I wasn’t getting as tired as quickly.
-
Muscle Work: I also hit the gym, which I’ve never really been a fan of. But I knew I needed more muscle to get that power in my swing. It was tough. I was sore all the time, but slowly, I started seeing results.
This whole process was a real grind. There were days when I felt like I was getting nowhere. My back hurt, my arms ached, and I was just tired all the time. But I kept pushing myself because I really wanted to improve my game.
Seeing Results
And you know what? It started to pay off. My shots were going further, and I was hitting them more consistently. I even started to enjoy my time on the course more because I wasn’t struggling as much. It felt great to see that all that hard work wasn’t for nothing.
So, to all my fellow short golfers out there, don’t give up. It might be tough, and you might feel like you’re not making progress, but keep at it. Try different things, work on your technique, and don’t be afraid to put in the effort. Trust me, it’s worth it in the end.
