Okay, so I saw this “Rob McNamara Tiger Woods” thing trending and, honestly, I was curious. I mean, who isn’t a little fascinated by Tiger Woods, right? And this Rob McNamara guy, I’d heard the name, but didn’t really know much.

So, first, I just did a simple search. Just typed in “Rob McNamara Tiger Woods” and boom, a ton of stuff popped up. Mostly articles and some videos.
Diving a Little Deeper
I started clicking on a few of the articles. Seemed like this McNamara guy was Woods’s swing coach for a while, like, back in the day. I scrolled through a couple of those, getting the basic gist – they worked together, had some success, then went their separate ways. Nothing too juicy there.
Then, I focused on the videos. I found a few interviews with McNamara. He seemed pretty chill, talked a lot about the technical side of golf, which, admittedly, went a little over my head. I’m no golf pro, that’s for sure!
- I watched one video where they showed some old footage of them working together. It was kind of cool to see Woods in his younger days, super focused.
- I skipped through a longer video that was basically a golf lesson. It was interesting, but not really what I was looking for.
- There were also a couple of short clips of them just chatting, seemed like they had a good relationship, at least at one point.
Putting it All Together
After about, I don’t know, 30 minutes of this, I felt like I had a pretty good handle on the situation. Basically, Rob McNamara was an important part of Tiger Woods’s team during a crucial part of his career. It doesn’t seem like there’s any big drama or anything, just a professional relationship that ran its course.
It is always a part of a athelete’s life. I guess my main takeaway is that even the greats like Tiger Woods need good people around them. It’s not a one-man show, even in a sport like golf.
