Okay, so I’ve been digging into this whole “when will RBC resume” thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a journey. I started out just poking around online, you know, trying to get a feel for what’s going on.
First, I hit up the usual spots, forums and such, where people talk about their experiences with RBC. I found some interesting tidbits. Like this one user, they suggested trying phrases like “customer service” or “person” when dealing with the automated system. They said, “All you need to do is follow the prompts, say what you want, and it will bring you to a person.” Sounded simple enough, so I made a note to try that out later.
Then I stumbled upon this other comment about “manager review.” This person, who claimed to be an RBC employee, explained that it means a manager has pulled your resume for further review. And then? Either you get a call for an interview, or you get passed over. That gave me a little bit of insight into their internal process.
My Impatience Got the Best of Me
- I also found a conversation where someone mentioned they were told they’d hear back by February 9th at the latest. They said a recruiter reached out to ask some questions, but no offer came. The person said, “I was impatient and reached out again,” and the recruiter gave them some more info. This got me thinking, maybe being proactive isn’t such a bad idea?
- Of course, I had to check out the RBC subreddit. I saw a post asking if anyone had recently joined RBC and if the onboarding process was taking longer than usual. That made me wonder if things were generally slow across the board.
- On a completely different note, I came across something about RBC economists discussing a recent rate cut on some podcast. It wasn’t directly related, but it showed that RBC is active and making moves.
- And finally, I saw a headline about the first round of the RBC Heritage golf tournament resuming. It mentioned a time, 4:15 p.m. ET, and that play had been suspended. Not sure how this ties in, but it was something that popped up, all about RBC and resuming.
So, after all this digging around, I’m still not 100% sure when everything will fully resume, but I’ve got a better sense of how things work. I’m going to try that phone trick and maybe even reach out to a recruiter directly. I mean, what’s the worst that could happen? I’ll keep you all posted on what I find out. Wish me luck!
