Okay, so the other day, I was all set to watch the Cubs game. I mean, I had my snacks ready, my jersey on, and I was super pumped. But then, wouldn’t you know it, the skies opened up.

First, I checked the weather app on my phone. You know, just hoping it was a quick passing shower. Nope. Big, angry-looking clouds were headed straight for Wrigleyville.
Next, I started frantically searching online for any updates. Twitter is usually my go-to for this kind of stuff. I saw a few people posting pictures of the tarp on the field. Not a good sign.
- Refreshed the Cubs’ official Twitter like a maniac.
- Checked out some local news channels’ accounts for any info.
- Saw a bunch of fans complaining, naturally.
Finally, there it was. The official announcement: game delayed. Ugh.
Waiting Game…
So, I settled in for the wait. Made some more snacks, watched some old game highlights. You know how it is. Kept checking my phone every few minutes for any updates.
I spent the last hour checking back social media to get any updates, no one knows how long it gonna be!

It’s all part of being a baseball fan, I guess. You gotta be ready for anything, even a little (or a lot of) rain!
