It’s not just raw power, though, there’s a smoothness and precision to his swing that’s just…impressive. It’s kinda like watching him shoot a three-pointer – effortless, almost.
Then I started reading some articles. Found out he’s been playing golf since he was a kid, so it’s not like he just picked it up recently. Apparently, his dad, Dell Curry, was a big influence, getting him into the game early on.

Inspired, and honestly, a little intimidated, I decided to hit the driving range myself. Let’s just say, my “smooth and precise” swing was, uh…not so smooth and precise.

- Second swing? Sliced it so far right, I almost hit a car in the parking lot. (Sorry, whoever that was!)

I spent a good hour just trying to get the basics down. Focusing on my grip, my stance, my backswing…all that stuff. It’s way harder than it looks, especially when you’re trying to emulate someone like Steph Curry.
The Verdict?
After my little experiment, I have even more respect for Steph’s golf game. It’s one thing to be good at basketball, but to also excel at a completely different sport like golf? That takes some serious dedication and natural talent.
As for me, I think I’ll stick to watching him play. My golf game needs a lot more work before I can even think about comparing myself to a Curry. But hey, at least I tried, right? Maybe one day, after many practice, I’ll get my shot.
