Today I wanted to watch some golf, so I decided to check out the Phoenix Open. I didn’t really know where to start, so I just googled “Phoenix Open leaderboard.”
The first thing I saw was that a guy named Nick Taylor had a really good round. I guess he’s been doing well this whole tournament. I also saw that Flashscore was offering live results. I like to follow the scores in real time, so that was pretty cool.
I dug a little deeper and found out that this tournament is a big deal. It’s called the “WM Phoenix Open” and it’s played at the TPC Scottsdale. Apparently, this course has seen some awesome golf moments since it opened way back in 1986. This course is home to PGA tour.
- I watched some highlights and saw that Nick Taylor actually made a hole-in-one! That’s his first one ever. He ended up winning the whole thing after a playoff with some guy named Charley Hoffman. What a wild weekend for him with scores 68 and 65!
- The final leaderboard showed where all the players finished. It also listed how much money they won. I always find that part interesting. I mean, those guys make some serious cash!
I also found out that you can watch this stuff live on ESPN+. I don’t have that, but maybe I should get it so I can watch more golf.
Anyway, it was fun learning about the Phoenix Open. I might try to watch it more closely next year. I definitely enjoyed following along with the leaderboard today!
