Okay, so I’ve been digging into PGA Tour history lately, specifically who’s racked up the most wins. It’s kind of a rabbit hole, you know? Started with a simple question and ended up with spreadsheets and everything.

Getting Started
First, I just hit up Google. You know, the usual “most PGA Tour wins” search. Lots of articles popped up, but I wanted something more solid, something I could really play with.
Finding the Data
I figured the PGA Tour’s own website would have the goods. I poked around there for a bit, and it was kind of overwhelming at first. So much information! Eventually, I stumbled upon some historical records, but it wasn’t exactly easy to download or anything.
Building My Own List
So, I decided to just do it the old-fashioned way. I started making my own list, going through those PGA Tour records and noting down the players with the most wins. Lots of copying and pasting, let me tell you. My hand almost got cramped!
- Started with the obvious guys, like Tiger Woods and Sam Snead.
- Then I went down the list, adding anyone with, say, 20 or more wins.
- It was slow going, but kind of fun, like putting together a puzzle.
Checking and Double-Checking
Once I had a decent list, I went back to those articles I found earlier and started cross-referencing. Just to make sure I didn’t miss anyone major. It’s surprisingly easy to make a mistake when you’re dealing with so many names and numbers.
I felt very happy after completing my own PGA Tour wins record.
