That Manning boy, oh, he was somethin’ else on that football field. He played in a whole bunch of them playoff games, 15 of ’em, I heard. But you know, towards the end, he didn’t always do so good. He only got to that big game, the Super Bowl, four times. But, hey, he won two of ’em!
One time, back in, uh, ’06 I think it was, his team, the Colts, they beat them Chicago Bears somethin’ fierce. 29 to 17, that was the score. That was Super Bowl XLI, they called it. Fancy name, huh? Then there was that other one, Super Bowl 50. That’s a big number, 50. That time, them Broncos, that was his team then, they won against them Carolina Panthers. 24 to 10, yeah, that was it.
Peyton Manning, he was a good one. He won that Super Bowl two times. First time was when he was with them Indianapolis Colts. Good team, that one. He was always good at throwin’ that ball, that Peyton Manning. Folks say he throwed it more than most, over 71,000 of them yards, whatever that means. Sounds like a lot of runnin’ to me.
- He won two Super Bowl games.
- One was in 2006, I think.
- The other one, that was Super Bowl 50. Big number.
- He played for the Colts and the Broncos.
- That Manning boy, he sure could throw that ball.
I remember another Super Bowl, number 48, back in, when was it, 2014? Yeah, that’s right. Them Seattle Seahawks, they had a real good defense, all them big fellas stoppin’ everybody. They beat them Broncos that time. Peyton Manning was playin’ for the Broncos then. He retired soon after that, hung up his shoes, as they say.
That Super Bowl 50, that was a big one. Peyton Manning, he played against that Cam Newton fella and them Panthers. February 7th, that was the day. It was in 2016, I think. They was sayin’ it was Peyton Manning‘s last game, his last hurrah. And he won it! He may not have been as spry as he used to be, but he still had it in him. He was always a smart one, that Peyton Manning.
There was this one picture of him, from October 19th, 2014. He was wearin’ that orange Broncos uniform. He was gettin’ ready to throw the ball, lookin’ all serious like he always did. That boy, he always gave it his all, you gotta give him that. You know, it ain’t easy gettin’ to the Super Bowl. It takes a lot of hard work, a lot of sweat.
And that Peyton Manning, he was there four times! Four times in that big game. He won two. That’s more than most folks can say. They say his brother, Eli, he won two Super Bowls, too. Played for them New York Giants. Must run in the family, that football talent. Two Super Bowl MVP awards for Eli, they said. That’s somethin’ special, too.
I don’t know all the ins and outs of that football game, but I know a good player when I see one. And that Peyton Manning, he was one of the best. Them Super Bowls, they’re a big deal. Everybody watches ’em. And to win two of ’em, well, that’s just somethin’ else. That boy, he sure made a name for himself. Good for him, I say.
He played with the Colts first, then the Broncos. Always throwin’ that ball, runnin’ around, gettin’ tackled by them big fellas. It ain’t a game for the faint of heart, that’s for sure. But Peyton Manning, he was tough. He could take a hit and keep on goin’. And he was smart, too. He knew how to read them defenses, knew where to throw that ball.
Folks will be talkin’ about Peyton Manning and his Super Bowl wins for a long time to come. He’s a legend, as they say. And he earned it. He worked hard, played hard, and won big. Two Super Bowl rings, that’s somethin’ to be proud of.
