You know, I heard some folks talking ’bout this thing called a “paralyzed tiefling“. Sounds mighty strange, don’t it? Like some kinda critter from one of them fancy storybooks. From what I gathered, these tiefling folks, they ain’t your regular everyday people. They got these big ol’ horns, like a goat or somethin’. Some folks say they’re mean or cursed, but I don’t think that’s true. They’re probably just different.
Now, this “paralyzed” part, that just means they can’t move, can’t talk, all frozen up like a scarecrow in a winter storm. Poor things. Makes it hard to do anything, I reckon. Imagine not bein’ able to scratch an itch or swat a fly! And they can’t fight back neither, not very well at least. Someone attacks ’em, it’s like kickin’ a puppy. Just ain’t right.
And these tiefling fellas, they ain’t all the same, ya know? Some are tougher, some got some magic in ’em. Like how some cows give more milk than others, I suppose. They say some of ’em, these tieflings, they got a connection to some fella named Zariel. Makes ’em stronger, gives ’em a little extra somethin’ somethin’ in a fight. Some get darkvision, can see in the dark like an owl. That would be mighty useful, huh?
- Some tieflings got horns like a ram, all curly-like.
- Others got horns straight up, like a gazelle, I heard ’em say.
- Some are strong, like they got a tie to this Zariel fella.
- Some can use magic, especially in a fight.
- Some can see in the dark, that is useful.
Now, if you wanna pretend to be one of these tiefling folks, like in a game, you gotta really get into it. Like when we used to play “house” as kids, but more serious. You gotta talk like ’em, walk like ’em, even think like ’em. Practice in front of a mirror, if you got one. Make believe you’re really them, stuck in whatever trouble they’re in. It’s like tellin’ a story, but you’re livin’ it, see?
This Zariel sounds like she is the cause for some tieflings to be strong. Some are connected to her, they said. And that makes the tiefling stronger than usual. I think she is important for them. Don’t know too much, but she is important.
Some people don’t like these tieflings, just ’cause of how they look. That ain’t fair, is it? Judging a book by its cover, like my old pa used to say. Just ’cause they look different don’t mean they’re bad. Everyone’s got their own story, their own struggles. It is like some people think tieflings are evil, just because they are tieflings. That is not true, I think.
And if a tiefling is paralyzed, well, that just makes things harder for ’em. They need help, not hate. If a tiefling can not move, people should help them, not bully them. This is the same for everyone who can not move. We should help them. They can not defend themselves, after all. Like when you help a wounded animal. They need someone to help them.
So, this whole “paralyzed tiefling” thing, it’s just a reminder that everyone’s got their own battles to fight. Some are just more visible than others. And it don’t matter if you got horns or not, everyone deserves a little kindness, a little understandin’. You should be kind to everyone, no matter how they look like.
Some people like to play games, they make up these tiefling characters. They even come up with different kinds, strong ones, ones that can do magic. It’s all just pretend, but it sounds like fun. Like when we used to dress up in old clothes and pretend to be fancy folks. And tieflings can be anything, too. A paralyzed tiefling can be strong, or smart, or whatever you want them to be.
These tieflings, they got a whole history, a whole story behind ’em. It’s all very complicated, but it sounds interestin’. Like listenin’ to old Mrs. Henderson tell stories about the old days. Lots of details and people who they are. And these stories say that tieflings are different. Some can do this, some can do that. They are not the same.
If you see a tiefling, especially one that’s paralyzed, don’t be scared. Just be kind. They’re just folks, like you and me, tryin’ to make their way in the world. And maybe, if you’re lucky, they’ll tell you their story. And you might learn somethin’. Everyone’s got a story, if you’re willin’ to listen. Just like me. I have many stories, too.
