Alright, so I’ve been digging into the Oklahoma Warriors hockey team lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a journey. I wanted to get a handle on their roster, you know, see who’s playing, where they’re from, that sort of thing. Figured it would be simple, right? Ha!
Getting Started
First off, I started poking around online, just doing some basic searches about the team. Seems they’re part of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), South Division. They play a bunch of home games at some place called Blazers Ice Centre, and then they’re on the road a lot too. And get this, most of these guys are, like, 17 to 21 years old, all trying to snag those college hockey scholarships. Pretty cool, huh?
Diving into the Roster
Then came the fun part – trying to nail down their actual roster. I found some stuff about the 2023-2024 season and then some bits and pieces about the upcoming 2024-2025 season. It wasn’t all in one neat little package, I had to piece it together from different places. Some sites had player birthdates, others had their hometowns. I managed to find some names popping up repeatedly. Like, there’s this defenseman, Vukas, who apparently committed to some NCAA Division I school. And a forward, Nelson, who did the same. Then there is someone called Dronen made a NCAA DIII Commitment. This team is full of players who get noticed, I guess!
Putting it All Together
- I started scribbling down names, birthdates, where these guys were from.
- Then I tried to match that up with any stats I could find – who was scoring, who was getting penalties, you know, the usual hockey stuff.
Honestly, it felt a bit like detective work, but it was kind of satisfying to see it all come together. I even found out that some guy named George Chalos, who’s a lawyer from Utah, is involved with the team. Never know what you’ll find when you start digging, right?
Still Some Mysteries
There are still some gaps, though. Like, I couldn’t find a complete, up-to-date roster for the 2024-2025 season all in one place. But I’ve got a decent picture of who’s who, at least for now. Maybe they’ll release a full roster list soon, who knows. But yeah, that’s my little adventure into the world of the Oklahoma Warriors. It was more work than I expected, but hey, I learned a lot. And I can have a more specific direction to search for what I need.
