Okay, so I needed to figure out exactly when WWE SummerSlam 2024 is happening for us folks over here in India. You know how it is, these big events are always broadcast at weird times for us because of the time difference, and I didn’t want to miss it or get the day wrong.

First thing I did was just a general search online. Typed something like “wwe summerslam 2024 date” into the search bar. Got plenty of results back, sure, telling me it’s in Cleveland, Ohio. The date popped up too: Saturday, August 3rd, 2024. Saw the start time mentioned as 8 PM ET (Eastern Time). That’s great for people in the US, but not directly helpful for me sitting here in India.
Right, so that ‘ET’ thing is the key. I knew I had to convert that to our time, IST (Indian Standard Time). My next step was to get more specific with my search. I tried things like “WWE SummerSlam 2024 time in India” and “SummerSlam 2024 IST”. This brought up some sports news sites and fan forums discussing the timing for different regions.
I started clicking through a few. You always gotta check a couple of places, right? Sometimes one site might have old info or just guess. I looked for sites that seemed reliable, maybe ones I’ve used before for wrestling news. Saw the 8 PM ET start time confirmed on a few reputable spots.
Figuring out the Time Conversion
Now came the actual conversion part. I know IST is ahead of ET. How much ahead? That’s the question. I remembered it’s usually 9 hours and 30 minutes. To be absolutely sure, I just searched for “ET to IST conversion”. Plenty of online tools confirm this difference.
So, if the main show starts at 8:00 PM ET on Saturday, August 3rd:

- Add 9 hours: That takes us to 5:00 AM on Sunday, August 4th.
- Add another 30 minutes: That makes it 5:30 AM IST on Sunday, August 4th, 2024.
Okay, that seemed right. Saturday night there becomes early Sunday morning here. Makes sense. I also remembered there’s usually a Kickoff show before the main card. Those typically start an hour earlier. So, if the main show is 5:30 AM IST, the Kickoff show would likely start around 4:30 AM IST on Sunday, August 4th.
So, after digging around a bit and doing the time zone math, that’s what I landed on. It wasn’t super complicated, just had to make sure I was converting from the right US time zone (ET) and adding the correct offset for IST. Got it sorted now. Looks like it’ll be an early Sunday morning for me if I want to catch it live!
