Okay, so I was browsing online today and stumbled upon this “Five Nations Members” crossword thing. I’ve always enjoyed a good puzzle, so I thought, “Why not give it a shot?”

First, I googled “Five Nations Members crossword” to get a feel for what it was all about. Turns out, it’s related to the Iroquois Confederacy, also known as the Haudenosaunee. I saw some sample clues and answers, which gave me a better idea of what to expect.
My Solving Steps
Then, I started to tackle the crossword that I print out:
- I looked for the easy clues first, the ones with short answers or obvious fill-in-the-blanks. I mean you know, get some confidence going.
- Filled in any answers I was sure of, using a pencil, of course! No going back with ink, haha.
- Used the intersecting letters to help me figure out the trickier words. Like, if I had “M _ H _ W K” for a 7-letter word, and I knew a crossing word had an “O” in the third spot, that narrowed it down a lot.
- Went back to the clues I skipped earlier. Sometimes, having a few letters filled in made all the difference. The word that makes me struggled suddenly became super obviously.
- If I got really stuck, I admit, I did a little more searching online. Sometimes you just need a little nudge in the right direction, No shame in that!
Finally, after some sweat , I managed to complete the whole crossword! It felt pretty good to see all those boxes filled in.
It’s a fun way to test your knowledge and learn something new at the same time. I definitely recommend giving it a try if you’re into puzzles or history, even just want a little brain exercise!
