Well, let me tell ya, this here NC State vs Kentucky baseball game, it’s got everyone talkin’. They say it’s a big one, some kinda College World Series thing. I don’t know much about that, but I do know a thing or two about baseball. And predictin’? Shoot, I’ve been predictin’ the weather since before you were born, and that’s just about as reliable as predictin’ these games.
So, you got these NC State Wolfpack fellas, and they’re goin’ up against the Kentucky Wildcats. Now, these Kentucky boys, they’re from the SEC, whatever that is. One of four, they say, still playin’. Sounds important, I reckon. But they ain’t no good at hittin’, they last in hittin’, they run a lot though, that’s their main thing, stealin’ bases and all that. Lord knows what wOBA and wRC+ is, but they are last in that, too.
They say this Kentucky team, they like to play “small ball.” I reckon that means they ain’t hittin’ them big ol’ home runs. They just try to get on base and run around like chickens with their heads cut off. Seems like a lot of work to me. But hey, if it works, it works. They do be winnin’, so maybe there’s somethin’ to it.

They got this fella, Trey Pooser, gonna be pitchin’ for Kentucky. He’s up against a whole mess of NC State boys who can hit the ball. Sounds like he’s got his work cut out for him. And they’re sayin’ that Kentucky is projectin’ somethin’ like -170. And a total of 12.5? Don’t ask me what that means. I just know it means somethin’ to them folks who bet on these games.
This whole shindig starts on Saturday. 2:00 p.m. sharp, they say. So if you’re plannin’ on watchin’, make sure you’re settled in by then.
Now, you want my prediction? Well, I’ll tell ya. It ain’t easy pickin’ a winner in these games. Both these teams, they got somethin’ to prove. They both want to win real bad. And they both got a good chance of doin’ it.
But if I had to put my money where my mouth is, I’d say NC State. I just got a feelin’ about ’em. They seem like they got more fire in their belly. And they sure do know how to score them runs. And in baseball, that’s what it all comes down to, ain’t it? Scorin’ more runs than the other fella.
They say NC State 6 is the prediction. Six runs. That sounds about right to me. Of course, nothin’s for certain in these games. Anything can happen. That’s what makes ’em so darn excitin’. One minute you’re up, the next you’re down. Just like life, I reckon.

So, there you have it. My two cents on this NC State vs Kentucky baseball game. Take it for what it’s worth. I ain’t no expert, just a regular person watchin’ baseball. But I’ve seen a lot of games in my day, and I got a pretty good hunch about this one. We’ll see if I’m right. Either way, it’s sure to be a good game. I tell ya that for sure. The first time for Kentucky to play in that big game, they will for sure try their best.
So, get your popcorn ready, and get ready to yell, ’cause this one’s gonna be a doozy! You can bet your bottom dollar on that! I hope they don’t go playin’ all night, though. I need my sleep!
