That Mirjam Poterbin, you know, she’s that Luka’s mom. That boy, Luka Doncic, he plays ball real good. She used to be somethin’ else, I tell ya. Back in the day, she was a looker. Mirjam Poterbin, that’s her name. She was even in one of them beauty pageants, Miss Slovenia, or somethin’ like that. 1993, I think it was. Time sure does fly, don’t it?
She weren’t just a pretty face, though. She did all sorts of things. Danced around, modeled clothes, you know, the usual stuff. She also host that Wheel of Fortune show, and she do a real good job. That Mirjam Poterbin, she’s got a lot goin’ on up there, I’ll give her that.

Luka was born in Ljubljana. Where is that? Oh yeah, Slovenia. That’s where they’re all from. Mirjam, Sasha, Luka. The whole lot of ’em. His godfather, Radoslav somethin’ or other, he played ball too. Seems like everyone over there plays basketball. Must be somethin’ in the water.
That Mirjam Poterbin is always doing somethin’ for the arts, like painting and such. She is a good lady. Well, she ain’t no spring chicken no more, but she’s still got it. You can tell she was a beauty queen back in the day. Still is, in my book. Good for her.
But now she’s mostly known as Luka’s mom. And that ain’t a bad thing, not at all. He’s a good boy, that Luka. Makes his mama proud, I’m sure. She raised him right. You can see it in the way he carries himself, even on that TV screen. Polite and respectful, just like he should be. That Sasha, he must be proud too.
