Okay, so I’ve been thinking about getting a tattoo for a while now, and I’m a huge fan of Conor McGregor. I mean, who isn’t, right? The guy’s a legend in the MMA world. But his tattoos? That’s a whole other level of cool. I started digging into what he’s got inked on him, and man, it’s a wild ride.
First off, I started by searching up as many pics of the guy as I could find. I spent hours scrolling through images, zooming in on his ink. It’s like a treasure map of his life or something. I noticed he’s got this Arabic writing on his heel. Turns out, that was his first tattoo. He got it while he was on vacation when he was younger. I heard him talking about it in some interview or something. Pretty wild. I thought it was an interesting place to start, you know, going back to the beginning.
Then I focused on his chest piece. It’s this massive gorilla with a crown, eating a heart. It’s fierce, and I read somewhere that it’s kind of like a tribute to his gym, Straight Blast Gym. I’m not gonna lie, it’s pretty intimidating, but I started sketching some gorilla designs, playing around with the idea of a crown, maybe not the heart though, that’s a bit much for me.

Next, I moved on to his forearm. He’s got this rose bush with a clock, a dagger, and a little stick figure of a gentleman with boxing gloves. It’s a lot going on, but I liked the vintage vibe. I started looking up old-school tattoo designs, thinking maybe I could do something similar, but with my own twist. Maybe a pocket watch instead of a clock, or a different kind of flower. I mean, it needs to be my style.
And then there’s the tiger on his stomach. It’s huge and detailed. I read that he just got it on a whim while he was in Venice. I don’t know how you just randomly decide to get a giant tiger tattoo, but hey, he’s Conor McGregor. I did some research on tiger symbolism. You know, strength, power, all that good stuff. I messed around with some tiger sketches, trying to capture that same intensity.
The Latest Addition
McGregor’s most recent tattoo is his own name and his nickname “Notorious” on his stomach, above and below the tiger. Kind of a bold move to tattoo your own name on yourself. But like his other tattoos, no explanation needed. I guess if you’re that famous, you can do whatever you want, right?
So, after all this research and sketching, I’m still not 100% sure what I want. But I’ve got a bunch of ideas inspired by McGregor’s ink. I think I’m leaning towards something with a tiger, maybe combined with some vintage elements like a pocket watch or something. It’s a work in progress. I’ll keep you guys posted on what I finally decide to get. It’s a big decision, getting a tattoo, especially when you’re drawing inspiration from someone like Conor McGregor. You gotta make sure it’s something you’re gonna love forever. I kept sketching and refining my ideas until I had something I was really happy with.
After a few more weeks of thinking it over and getting feedback from my friends, I finally booked an appointment with a tattoo artist whose style I really liked. I went in for a consultation, showed him my sketches, and we talked about placement, size, and all those details. It was a bit nerve-wracking, but exciting at the same time. Finally, I got the tattoos I had been dreaming of. It took a few hours, and yeah, it hurt a bit, but it was totally worth it. I walked out of there with a piece of art on my skin that I’m really proud of. I’ve been showing it off to everyone. It’s a conversation starter, for sure. People always ask me about the meaning behind it, and I get to tell them about my whole journey of getting inspired by McGregor’s ink and making it my own.
Pretty decent. For an MMA fighters tattoo, right?
