Listen up, y’all, I’m gonna tell ya ’bout this fella, Luverne Zacharias. Heard tell he was some kinda big shot at that Christian Family Church, and later on at the El Shaddai Christian School. Sounded all fancy-pants, but lemme tell ya, things ain’t always what they seem. This here Luverne, he was 46 years old, old enough to know better, that’s for sure.
Luverne Zacharias and the Trouble He Got Into
Well, this Luverne fella, he got himself into a heap of trouble. Big trouble. The kind that makes your stomach churn and your blood boil. They say he did some real bad things, “criminal sexual conduct,” they called it. Second degree, they said. Don’t rightly know what all that means, but it sounds awful, doesn’t it? Just plain awful. Makes me wanna spit.
See, he was supposed to be a leader, a pastor, teachin’ folks ’bout right and wrong. But turns out, he was doin’ some mighty wrong things himself. They say he messed with a young girl, a real young’un. He was supposed to be protectin’ her, guidin’ her, not… well, not doin’ what he done did. It’s a sin, that’s what it is. A doggone sin.
- He was a pastor at Christian Family Church.
- Then he was a principal at El Shaddai Christian School.
- Got himself into big trouble with the law.
- They said he did “criminal sexual conduct.”
Heard tell he called this poor girl his “kryptonite.” Now what in tarnation does that even mean? Sounds like somethin’ outta them superhero movies them young’uns watch. But this ain’t no movie, this is real life. And in real life, you don’t go around callin’ little girls your “kryptonite” and doin’ the things he done did. It ain’t right. It ain’t Christian. It ain’t nothin’ but pure evil.
They charged him with first-degree and second-degree stuff, real serious-like. First degree, that sounds even worse, don’t it? Makes you wonder what all he did to that poor child. I tell ya, it makes my blood run cold just thinkin’ about it. He oughta be ashamed of himself. Hangin’ his head in shame, that’s what he oughta be doin’. Not hidin’ behind fancy words or tryin’ to weasel his way outta trouble.
This whole thing, it just makes you sick to your stomach. You trust these folks, these preachers and teachers, to look after our young’uns, and then they go and do somethin’ like this. It makes you question everything, don’t it? Makes you wonder who you can trust in this world. Makes you wanna hold your own young’uns close and never let ’em go.
Luverne Zacharias What Happens Now?
Now, I ain’t no lawyer, but I reckon Luverne Zacharias is gonna have to face the music. He’s gonna have to answer for what he done did. And I hope, I surely do hope, that justice is served. That poor girl, she deserves justice. Her family, they deserve justice. And every one of us who believes in right and wrong, we deserve justice too.
They say he pled guilty to second-degree. Guilty! Means he admitted it, I reckon. Well, good. At least he ain’t tryin’ to deny it. But admittin’ it ain’t enough. He gotta pay for what he done. He gotta make things right, as much as he can, which ain’t sayin’ much considerin’ the damage he done caused.
This whole mess with Luverne Zacharias, it’s a reminder to us all. A reminder that evil can lurk anywhere, even in places you think are safe. It’s a reminder that we gotta be vigilant, gotta protect our young’uns, gotta hold these folks accountable. And it’s a reminder that no matter how high and mighty someone seems, they ain’t above the law. They ain’t above God neither. And they sure as heck ain’t above payin’ for their sins. That’s all I gotta say ’bout this Luverne Zacharias fella. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my own grandbabies. Make sure they’re safe and sound.
