Okay, so I’ve been trying to get better at predicting sports scores, and today I decided to tackle the Lithuania vs. Latvia basketball game. Here’s how it went down.

First, I looked up recent games for both teams. Just kinda scanned through their past scores, who they played, and whether they won or lost. Nothing fancy, just getting a general feel for how they’ve been performing.
Then, I tried to find some head-to-head stats. You know, like how Lithuania and Latvia have played against each other in the past. This can sometimes give you a clue, although it’s not always a perfect indicator.
My “Research” Process (It Was Pretty Basic)
- Checked recent results: Who’s been hot, who’s been not.
- Looked for direct matchups: Any history between these two?
Honestly, I didn’t go super deep with stats. I’m not a pro or anything. I mostly relied on my gut feeling after seeing the basic info. It felt like Lithuania had a slight edge, maybe because they won a few more of their recent games. But it also seemed like Latvia could put up a good fight, so I figured it’d be close.
So, I made a prediction. I thought, “Okay, Lithuania will probably win, but it won’t be a blowout.” I went with something like Lithuania winning by, say, 5-8 points. Just a guess, really! The aim have a reference that I have predict this.
After the game, I’ll make notes on my thoughts and prediction, in order to review if it was correct, and what I should consider doing in the future.
