Well, I tell ya, that Kyle Schwarber, he’s somethin’ else! Heard on the radio he hit not one, but two homers! Phillies beat them Padres good, 9 to 2. Imagine that! Nine runs! That’s a lot of runs, you know.
That Kyle Schwarber, he’s a strong boy. He must eat his spinach! Hit that ball clear outta the park. Twice! Them Padres, they couldn’t catch a cold, let alone a ball hit by that Schwarber. Phillies are on fire! Heard they call it a “Schwarbomb” when he hits it like that. Sounds like a bomb went off, I reckon.
The Phillies, they got some good hitters. Five home runs! That’s what I heard. Five! That’s more than I can count on one hand. That Bryce Harper fella, he hit one too. He’s another strong one. They must feed them boys good over there in Philadelphia. That’s in Pennsylvania, you know.
- Kyle Schwarber – two home runs, they say!
- Bryce Harper – he hit one too.
- Five home runs total for the Phillies.
- Padres only got 2 runs. Poor fellas.
They was playin’ in San Diego. That’s way out west. Sunny out there, I hear. Don’t know much about baseball, but I know 9 runs is a whole heap better than 2. That’s just common sense. Phillies are gonna go far, I betcha. They got that Kyle Schwarber, and he’s a powerhouse!
They play that game with a bat and a ball, you know. Run around them bases. Looks like a lot of runnin’ to me. I get tired just watchin’ ’em on the TV. But them young fellas, they got the energy. Especially that Schwarber. He’s got muscles on his muscles, I bet.
I remember one time, my grandson, he played baseball. He wasn’t as good as that Kyle Schwarber, but he tried. He hit the ball once, and it went over the fence! We was all so proud. But he never hit two in one game like that Schwarber did. He’s special, that one.
Nine to two. That’s a good win. A real good win. Phillies must be happy. Their fans too. They got a lot of fans, I hear. Loud bunch. They yell and scream for their team. It’s excitin’ to watch, even if I don’t understand all the rules.
That pitcher for the Phillies, name of Sanchez, Cristopher Sanchez. Heard he did a good job too. It’s not all about that Kyle Schwarber, you know, there’s a whole team. They all work together. Like a family, almost. A big, sweaty, baseball-playin’ family.
This Kyle Schwarber fella, he must be makin’ a lot of money. Hittin’ home runs like that. Good for him. He deserves it. Workin’ hard, playin’ hard. That’s the way to do it. He’s a good example for the young folks. Show’s ’em what hard work can get ya.
I hope the Phillies keep winnin’. It’s fun to hear about ’em on the radio. Makes me feel like I’m part of somethin’, you know? Even though I’m just sittin’ here, listenin’. But I’m rootin’ for ’em. Especially for that Kyle Schwarber. He’s my favorite, I reckon.
That Joe Musgrove, he was pitchin’ for the Padres. Sounds like he had a rough night. Schwarber hit one off his fourth pitch! That’s what it said in the news. He must have felt bad. But that’s baseball, I guess. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Tonight, the Phillies won, big time.
I wonder what they gonna eat at the dinner party after the match, probably some big meal. Lots of meat, I bet. Gotta keep them boys strong and full of energy so they can hit them home runs like Kyle Schwarber hits. It’s a simple life, but it’s a good life.
Well, I reckon that’s all I know about that baseball game. Phillies won, Kyle Schwarber hit two home runs, and the Padres lost. Nine to two. Remember that score. It’s an important one. Maybe tomorrow they’ll win again. We’ll see. We’ll see. Hope they win the whole thing. Then that Schwarber will be a real hero.
Now, where’s my knitting needles…? Gotta get back to work.
