Alright, let’s talk about this… uh… Kelsey Plum and her cigars. I heard some folks chatterin’ ’bout it down at the store, so I figured I’d see what all the fuss is about.
So, this Kelsey Plum, she’s a basketball player, I think. A real good one, they say. Scores a lot of points, like buckets and buckets. And now, she’s got her own cigar? Well, I never! What’s a young gal doin’ with cigars, you might ask? Beats me, but apparently, it’s a thing now.
They call it the Kelsey Plum Signature, fancy, huh? It’s a toro, whatever that means. Big, I guess. Six inches long and thick as your thumb, they say. Comes in a fancy wrapper, too, somethin’ called Connecticut. Sounds like a place up North, where them rich folks live.
Now, I ain’t no cigar smoker myself. Tried it once when I was young, coughed my lungs out. But these cigars, they say they’re special. Made in some place called Nicaragua. That’s way down South, ain’t it? Hot and steamy, like a summer day in July. They say they put some kinda special tobacco in there, makes it taste… well, I don’t know how it tastes. But they say it’s good, real good. Smooth, like butter, some folks say. Others say it’s got a little kick to it, like a good cup of coffee in the mornin’.
- It’s 6 inches long.
- It’s thick.
- It’s made in Nicaragua.
Kelsey herself, she picked out the tobacco, they say. Went down to that Nicaragua place and tried all sorts of different leaves. Must’ve been quite a trip for a city gal like her. But she wanted somethin’ special, somethin’ that would, you know, represent her. A cigar that’s as bold and as strong as she is on the basketball court, I reckon.
And you know what? People are goin’ crazy for these things. They’re havin’ parties and events just to show ’em off. This Kelsey girl, she’s showin’ up, signin’ boxes, and takin’ pictures. It’s a whole to-do, like a county fair or somethin’. They even got a fancy place in Las Vegas, called the Eight Lounge, where they’re havin’ a big shindig for the cigars. Las Vegas! That’s where all the bright lights and big money are, ain’t it?
I heard they’re sellin’ these Kelsey Plum cigars for a pretty penny, too. Not somethin’ your average Joe can afford to smoke every day, that’s for sure. But I guess that’s the point. It’s a special occasion thing, a treat for yourself when you wanna feel fancy, like you’re one of them high rollers in Vegas. Or maybe just when you wanna feel a little bit like Kelsey Plum, all strong and powerful.
So, there you have it. That’s the story of Kelsey Plum and her cigars, as best as I can tell it. A basketball star, a fancy cigar, and a whole lot of folks talkin’ about it. It’s a funny old world, ain’t it? You never know what people will come up with next. Maybe next year, she’ll be sellin’ her own brand of pickles or somethin’. Who knows? But one thing’s for sure, this Kelsey Plum, she’s somethin’ else. A real go-getter, that one.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about cigars got me hungry for some good ol’ fashioned comfort food. Maybe some fried chicken and mashed potatoes. That’s somethin’ I understand, a whole lot better than fancy cigars, that’s for sure.
Anyway, if you are into cigars, this Kelsey Plum Signature might be somethin’ you wanna try. If not, well, then it ain’t for you. Just like some people like fancy cars, and some people like pickup trucks. It takes all kinds to make the world go around, as they say.
And that’s all I got to say ‘bout that.
