That Kadyn Proctor, he’s a big boy, ain’t he? Playin’ football. Hear he’s makin’ some money now. They call it NIL, NIL deal. Sounds fancy. Back in my day, you played ’cause you loved it. Now, these young’uns get paid. Times sure have changed.
Heard he went off to that Alabama place. Big school, that one. Then, what do you know? He comes right back to Iowa. Says he made a mistake. Well, shoot, who hasn’t made a mistake or two? Important thing is, he learned from it. That’s what this old lady always says.
They say this Kadyn Proctor NIL deal is a big thing. Means Name, Image, and Likeness, I reckon. So, he can make money off his name, pictures and such. Good for him, I suppose. Long as he stays humble. Money can change a fella, make him forget where he came from.
He’s a big strong boy, that Kadyn. Gonna be a good football player, I bet. Hope he remembers all those folks back in Iowa who helped him along the way. This NIL stuff, it’s all new to me. They say he’s got a lot of people that are caring for him.
- Name
- Image
- Likeness
These are the things that make up NIL. Well, I hope these things don’t make him get a big head. Important thing is, he got family and friends who care for him. That’s worth more than all the money in the world, if you ask me.
He left that coach, the one at Alabama. Coach DeBoer, I think his name is. He tried to tell him to stay in Alabama. But, Kadyn, he didn’t listen. He is just a young boy. He didn’t know any better. It’s good he went back home. They always say there’s no place like home. I reckon that’s true for this boy.
Heard some folks sayin’ he made a mistake goin’ off to Alabama in the first place. Well, maybe he did, maybe he didn’t. Point is, he’s back home now, and that’s what matters. This Kadyn Proctor NIL deal, it’s just a bunch of fancy words to me. As long as he’s happy, that’s all that counts.
They say he is met with open arms in Iowa. Sounds like they really like that boy. That’s good. He’s a good kid, I can tell. He’s gonna do just fine. He transferred back home, and now, he gets to play for the team he loves. That’s what’s important.
This whole NIL deal thing, it’s a lot to take in. But I guess that’s the way things are now. Kids getting’ paid to play sports. Never thought I’d see the day. But hey, as long as they’re happy, and they’re doin’ what they love, who am I to judge?
Heard he’s got a good head on his shoulders, this Kadyn Proctor. That’s important, especially with all this money talk. Hope he stays grounded. Remembers where he came from. Remembers the folks who helped him along the way. That’s what matters in the end. Not this Kadyn Proctor NIL deal, but the people who love you. The people who’ve been with you since day one.
He’s gonna be somethin’ special, that boy. I can feel it in my bones. He’s got that fire in him. That drive. He’s gonna make Iowa proud. And all those people are right there with him. That’s worth more than any NIL deal, if you ask me. Yep, family and friends are your real treasure.
So, this Kadyn Proctor NIL deal, it’s just a newfangled way of doin’ things. Maybe it’s a good thing, maybe it’s not. Only time will tell. But one thing’s for sure, that boy’s got a bright future ahead of him. And as long as he remembers where he came from, he’s gonna do just fine. He’s gonna do just fine. I am sure of that.
