Okay, so I wanted to check in on the Joburg Open 2023 leaderboard earlier today. I like keeping tabs on these tournaments, see who’s starting strong.

Finding the Scores
First thing I did was grab my phone. Didn’t bother with a specific app this time, just opened up my web browser. Typed in something simple like “joburg open 2023 leaderboard” into the search bar. Pretty straightforward.
Got a bunch of results back, mostly major sports sites. I just picked one of the top ones, usually they’re pretty reliable. Clicked on it and waited for the page to load up. Sometimes these sites can be a bit slow, you know, with all the ads and stuff they pack in, but this one wasn’t too bad today.
Looking at the Standings
Once the page loaded, I had to find the actual leaderboard section. Usually it’s front and center, but sometimes you gotta scroll down a bit past some news or intro text. Found it pretty quickly this time.
So there it was, the list of players. Standard layout, really:
- Player names
- Their total score relative to par
- Which round they were in or finished
- Maybe their score for the current round
I spent a few minutes just scanning down the list. Seeing who was at the top, checking if any familiar names were doing well, or maybe struggling a bit. You always get some surprises early in a tournament.

The information was all there. You could see the scores updating, though sometimes you wonder how “live” it really is. But it gave me a good enough picture of how things stood at that moment. Didn’t dive super deep into hole-by-hole stuff, just wanted the overall picture.
Quick Check Done
So yeah, that was it really. Just a quick check. Got the info I needed without too much fuss. Saw the early leaders, got a general feel for the tournament’s start. Now I’ll probably check back again later or tomorrow to see how things change. It’s always interesting to follow along.
