Hey everyone, so today I wanna talk about something that I’ve been messing around with lately: Jaylen Waddle in fantasy football. Yeah, I know, not the most exciting topic, but hear me out.
So, I started looking into this because I’m in a couple of fantasy leagues, and I was trying to figure out who to draft. I saw Jaylen Waddle’s name pop up a lot. He plays for the Miami Dolphins, wide receiver. Last year, he wasn’t like, top-tier or anything. I think he was ranked 31st or something among all wide receivers in fantasy points. He got like, 126.6 points total, which isn’t bad, but it’s not amazing either.
But here’s the thing, this year, people are hyping him up. Some folks are saying he’s gonna be the 21st-ranked fantasy pick for wide receivers. That’s a big jump, right? So, I dug a little deeper.
I found out that even though he’s the second wide receiver on his team, he still gets a ton of attention. He got over 23% of the team’s total targets, even missed three games! And get this, he’s got over 305 receptions for 4,085 yards in his career so far. That’s a lot! He even broke some record for the Dolphins for most receiving yards in the first four seasons.
Then I started looking at what the “experts” are saying. Some websites have him ranked as a top pick, while others are a little more hesitant. One site I saw was saying he might be a “bust” this year. They pointed out that his numbers went down last year after a good year before that.
But then, I saw some other stats. In the games where he played more than half the time, he averaged like 15.6 points per game in PPR leagues. That’s pretty solid!
Here’s what I did next:
- Checked out some rankings: I went to a bunch of different fantasy football websites and looked at their rankings for Jaylen Waddle. Most of them had him pretty high up.
- Read some articles: I found a few articles specifically about him and his fantasy outlook for this year. Some were positive, some were negative.
- Looked at his stats: I went to some sports stats websites and looked at his numbers from last year and the year before. I wanted to see the trends for myself.
- Compared him to other players: I looked at how he stacked up against other wide receivers in terms of fantasy points, targets, receptions, and all that good stuff.
After all that, I’m still not 100% sure what to think. It seems like he has a lot of potential, but there’s also some risk involved. It’s kind of a gamble, you know? But that’s what makes fantasy football fun, right?
Anyway, I just wanted to share my little journey into the world of Jaylen Waddle and fantasy football. It’s been interesting, to say the least. I might end up drafting him, I might not. We’ll see! If you guys have any thoughts or opinions on him, let me know in the comments. I’m always up for a good debate.
I’ve got a lot more players to research, so I’ll probably be back with another one of these soon. Until then, happy drafting!
