Alright folks, let me tell you about my little adventure with “jake moody college.” I was messing around trying to figure out a good name, and this one kinda stuck in my head. So, I decided, why not see what I can do with it?

First off, I started by just Googling the heck out of “jake moody college.” Just wanted to see if anything already existed with that name, you know? Didn’t want to step on anyone’s toes. Turns out, nothing major popped up, so I figured I was in the clear.
Then I really started to brainstorm. What kind of “college” would this be? A real one? A fake, fun one? I settled on making it a pretend online learning platform. Something a little quirky and not too serious. I kicked around ideas for courses – stuff like “Advanced Napping,” “Competitive Thumb Wrestling,” and maybe even “Existential Bread Baking.” You get the vibe, right?
I spent a good chunk of time just sketching out the look and feel of this “college.” I imagined a super simple website, maybe with some hand-drawn graphics and a color scheme that’s easy on the eyes. I even jotted down a few taglines, like “Jake Moody College: Where learning is… interesting” and “Get your degree in the absurd.”
Next up, I decided to play around with some basic web design. I fired up a simple HTML editor and started throwing together a basic landing page. I’m no web developer by any stretch, more of a copy and paste kinda guy from Stack Overflow but I did what I could to make something simple and kinda funny.
I didn’t go overboard with fancy stuff. I just wanted to get the basic idea across. The key was to keep it light and humorous. Think lots of bad puns and intentionally cheesy design elements.

I played around with creating some fake course descriptions, complete with ridiculous learning outcomes. For the “Advanced Napping” course, the goal was to “achieve a state of blissful unconsciousness in any environment, regardless of noise levels or discomfort.” Hilarious, right?
To be honest, the whole thing was a goofy exercise in creativity. It was just a fun way to kill an afternoon and see where a silly idea could go. No real college was harmed in the making of this project, I promise!
Anyway, that’s the gist of my “jake moody college” adventure. Just a bit of silly fun, and a reminder that sometimes the best projects are the ones you don’t take too seriously.
