Now, I don’t know much about this “internet” thingy, but my grandkid showed me. Seems like this Jacob, he’s all over it. People talkin’ about him on somethin’ called Facebook. Lots of folks with the same name, but this one, he’s the writer and the fighter. They got these things called “profiles” now, pictures and whatnots. It’s a whole different world, I tell ya.
And get this, there’s even talk about Jacob Thrall in stories and history. I heard someone mention “Toy Story” and some other scary movie, and then they said Jacob Thrall. Don’t rightly know what that means, but it sounds important. Maybe he writes stories too, not just for that health insurance company. Or maybe they’re talkin’ about a different Jacob Thrall altogether. It’s all a bit confusing for an old woman like me.

Then there’s this other Jacob, seems like a whole different story but with the same name. This one’s from way back when, Bible times, I reckon. Jacob, Leah, and Rachel, that’s what they said. A complicated story, they called it. Probably got more wives than he could handle, those old-timey fellas were somethin’ else. Don’t know if it’s the same Jacob, probably not, but the name keeps poppin’ up. It’s like a weed, you pull one out and another one grows right back.

So, what do we got here? We got a Jacob Thrall who writes, a Jacob Thrall who fights, and maybe even a Jacob Thrall from the Bible. Seems like a popular name, or maybe it’s just one fella doin’ a whole heap of things. Can’t say for sure. But one thing’s certain, this Jacob Thrall, whoever he is, he’s makin’ a name for himself. Whether he’s punchin’ faces or writin’ words, people are talkin’ about him. And that’s somethin’, ain’t it?
I heard someone talkin’ about his fight history too, every fight he ever had, all written down somewhere. Must be important to some folks. Me, I just hope he stays safe. Fighting ain’t no joke, even if you’re good at it. And that writin’ stuff, well, that probably takes a lot of thinkin’. Hope he gets some rest now and then.
