Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with my Wuthering Waves setup lately, specifically trying to figure out if this shiny new broadblade, the Lustrous Razor, is actually any good for my girl Jinshi. You know, gotta make sure she’s slicing and dicing in style, right?
First off, I snagged a Lustrous Razor from the standard banner, and I gotta say, it looks pretty cool. It’s a 5-star, so my expectations were kinda high. Plus, it gives a boatload of ATK% as a bonus, which is always nice.
I slapped it on Jinshi, and we started running some tests. Now, Jinshi’s a Spectro character, and she’s all about that Resonance Skill damage. She’s my main DPS, so I need her hitting like a truck.
Honestly, in the beginning, I just played some daily quests and it was ok. Then I tried to fight some bosses, it got a little bit harder. But, anyway, I could still win. I was like, “Okay, maybe this ain’t half bad.”
The Lustrous Razor’s passive also gives some Energy Regen, which is pretty sweet. It helps Jinshi get her skills back faster, so that’s a plus. But here’s the thing, it doesn’t have any crit stats. I started noticing that other folks were getting bigger numbers with different weapons, especially ones with crit damage.
So, I started digging around, you know, checking out what other players were saying. Some folks were saying that the Lustrous Razor was “decent,” but not amazing. Others were all about weapons like the Helios Cleaver, which has crit damage, or even 4-star options that outshine the Lustrous Razor in some cases. I even saw some people saying there are better 5-star options like Ages of Harvest or Verdant Summit.
After messing around some more, I think they’re right. The Lustrous Razor isn’t terrible, but it’s just not the best for Jinshi. I mean, it’s not like she can’t clear content with it, she definitely can. It’s usable for sure. But if you’re really looking to max her out, there are better choices. I feel like it’s going to be replaced pretty soon when I get something better. This testing made me feel like I’d better check out those other weapons people were talking about.
Also, I figured that since Jinshi is a Spectro character, I should probably be using the Celestial Light Sonata Effect. This should give her some extra Spectro damage, which is what we want. I haven’t really tested it out that much, but it’s on my to-do list.
So, to wrap it up, the Lustrous Razor is an okay weapon for Jinshi. It’s not bad, but it’s not the best. If you don’t have anything else, it’ll work. But if you’re like me and want to see those big damage numbers, you should consider something else. I’m gonna keep messing around and see what works best, so I’ll keep you guys posted!
