Okay, so I was trying to figure out how many majors Bryson DeChambeau has won. I’m not a huge golf guy, but I’ve heard his name pop up a lot recently, especially with all that LIV Golf stuff.
First, I just started Googling around. I typed in “Bryson DeChambeau majors” and a bunch of articles came up. I skimmed a few of them, and it looked like he’s got at least one U.S. Open win.
Then, I remembered Wikipedia is usually pretty good for this kind of stuff. So I went to his Wikipedia page and scrolled down to his tournament wins. There it was, clear as day: one major championship, the 2020 U.S. Open. He also has quite a few PGA Tour wins, which is pretty impressive.
I also noticed that he joined LIV Golf recently. This move made quite a lot of noise, because, you know, LIV is like the new kid on the block, and there’s been a bunch of back and forth between them and the PGA Tour. It made me realize that his wins on the PGA Tour might not be the full story anymore, and I probably would have to include the LIV stuff in the future if I want to have a complete picture.
Anyway, after reading a bit more, I confirmed that, yep, he’s only won one major so far. It will be cool to see if he can snag another one sometime soon.
I also found a news article talking about DeChambeau’s “best swing move” and something about “UFO conversations with Lefty”. Seemed a bit out there, but hey, that’s golf for ya! I guess he’s known for his scientific approach to the game, so maybe that’s part of it.
So, to wrap it all up, it seemed like a simple question at first, but it led me down a bit of a rabbit hole with the whole LIV Golf situation. But the answer is pretty straightforward: Bryson DeChambeau has won one major championship.
