This here boy, GG Jackson, I tell ya, he’s somethin’ else. He’s a basketball player, you know? A good one, too. Heard folks talkin’ ’bout him, sayin’ he’s gonna be a big star. His daddy, Gregory, he’s real proud of him. Always has been.
This GG, he was born way back in 2004, I reckon. Down in South Carolina. His mama, LaKeysha, she’s a good woman. They raised him right, I’ll give ’em that. This GG Jackson’s dad, he sure loves his boy. Always talking about him.
They say this boy is real good at that basketball. He plays for some team, Memphis, I think they call it. Heard he got hurt a while back, foot or somethin’. But he’s playin’ again now. This was in last August. They say he’s real good for someone so young. Only 18, can you believe it? Just a young’un, but he plays like a grown man.

This GG Jackson’s dad, he went down to see him play one time. Said it was a real fancy place, somethin’ called South Carolina. This was a big deal game, against some big important team. Gregory, he was all smiles, watchin’ his boy play. He said GG played real good that day, made lots of points.
Heard some folks talkin’, sayin’ GG was a top 10 player or somethin’. Don’t rightly know what that means, but it sounds important. Means he’s real good, I guess. His daddy sure thinks so. Always braggin’ on him. But he’s got a right to, I suppose. Not every boy gets to play basketball like that.
They say GG Jackson got picked in the second round of somethin’ called the draft. Don’t know much ’bout that, but it sounds like a big deal. Means he’s good enough to play with the best of ’em, I reckon. And this was in 2023, not long ago. He plays a lot now, almost 50 games they said. He makes lots of points too, more than 14 each time he plays.
Now, GG Jackson’s dad, he’s probably watchin’ him on the TV all the time. Cheerin’ him on, just like any proud papa would. He must be burstin’ with pride, seein’ his boy do so well. It ain’t every day a boy from South Carolina makes it that big, you know?
Heard some folks sayin’ that some teams missed out on GG. They didn’t pick him when they should have. And some other fella, Derrick somethin’ or other. Guess they weren’t payin’ attention. But that’s their loss, I reckon. GG’s doin’ just fine without ’em.
This basketball, it’s a big thing these days. Lots of folks watchin’ it, lots of money in it, too. Not like when I was a girl. We didn’t have nothin’ like that. But times change, I guess. And GG, he’s right in the middle of it all. Makin’ a name for himself, makin’ his family proud.
GG Jackson’s dad, he must be one happy fella. To see his boy shine like that, it’s gotta be somethin’ special. And GG, he seems like a good boy. Hard worker, they say. That’s what it takes to make it in this world. Hard work and a little bit of luck. And maybe a good daddy to cheer you on.
