Alright, so, let’s talk about this fella, Lance Leipold. Now, I ain’t no fancy football expert or nothin’, but I can tell ya a thing or two about what I’ve heard and read. Seems like this Lance fella, he’s a pretty big deal in the football world, ya know?
Early Days and Startin’ Out
First off, they say he was born way back in 1964 in some place called Jefferson, Wisconsin. Sounds like a small town, kinda like where I grew up, ya know? Folks ‘round there probably all knew each other. He went to Jefferson High School, played quarterback, and was pretty good, seems like. All-area honors and all that fancy stuff. Then he went to college at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Played some more football there, too. I reckon he was one of them tough fellas, always runnin’ around and throwin’ that ball.
Coachin’ Career and All Them Wins
Now, after college, Lance, he didn’t stop with football. He started coachin’. And boy, did he coach! He started out at Wisconsin–Whitewater, his old stomping grounds, and man, did he do good there. We’re talkin’ six National Championships, can you believe that? Six! That’s a whole lotta winnin’. Folks say he was the fastest coach to get to 100 wins in NCAA history. That’s gotta be somethin’ special, right? I mean, even I know that’s a big accomplishment.
- Wisconsin-Whitewater: Six National Championships! Man, that’s somethin’ to brag about.
- University at Buffalo: He went on to coach at the University at Buffalo. Got named MAC Coach of the Year there, so he must’ve done a pretty good job.
- University of Kansas: Now, he’s coachin’ at the University of Kansas. Big 12 conference, that’s some serious football, ya know. They say he even got a raise recently, makin’ him one of the higher-paid coaches in the Big 12. Well, good for him, I say. He earned it. They even beat Texas, which folks say don’t happen much.
More Than Just Wins
Now, it ain’t just about the wins, ya know. They say he’s been named conference coach of the year five times. That means other coaches and folks who know football think he’s doin’ a good job. He helps them young fellas learn and grow, not just in football, but probably in life too. And all them All-America honors his players got? That’s a reflection on him, too. Shows he knows how to bring out the best in his team.
He’s a Winner, That’s for Sure
So, from what I can gather, this Lance Leipold fella, he’s a winner. He’s worked hard, won a bunch of games, and seems to be respected by folks in the football world. He started out in a small town and made somethin’ of himself. That’s the kinda story I like to hear. It just goes to show ya, hard work and dedication can take ya a long way, even if you start out in a little place like Jefferson, Wisconsin.
He makes good money, too. That’s what they say, anyhow. Being a coach in a big conference like the Big 12, well, that comes with a big paycheck. Good for him, I say. He earned it. All them wins and all that hard work, it’s gotta be worth somethin’.
I don’t know much about football, but I know a good man when I hear about one. And from what I can tell, Lance Leipold is a good man. He’s worked hard, he’s dedicated, and he’s a winner. And that’s somethin’ to be proud of, no matter how ya look at it.
One more thing, I saw somethin’ about a fella named Cristobal. He was a coach too, won some championships back in the day. But this article, it’s all about Lance Leipold. So I reckon he’s the one we should be talkin’ about. He’s the one doin’ big things now.
So there ya have it. That’s what I know about Lance Leipold. He’s a football coach, a winner, and a good man, from what I can tell. And that’s good enough for me.
And he got that Elite 88 award for some player named Jared Kiesow. Sounds fancy, huh? Just goes to show ya, this Lance fella knows how to coach ‘em up good.
